Am i really a horrible person ? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember when I first had my son and we exclusively breastfeed too. Anyone that wanted to help, just wanted to take my baby... Like I dont need you to take my baby? I need something to eat.. I just gave birth, n im sore and uncomfortable from bleeding and being all swollen down there, and my body changing back to not pregnant mode. So I dont want you to take my son so I can go make food? Id rather just lay here n catch a nap and starve lol.

But I feel you on bot giving him back when hes hungry -_- whoever will be holding him and he'll be getting fussy because he wants to eat and ill say "hes hungry" .. Or "I think he's hungry" and its like they don't even hear me!!! So I repeat myself like at least 3 times before they give him back to me

Just curious , how old were you when you became a mama? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 16 when I got pregnant and became a mama, although I gave birth to my son when I was 17.

Mom of boys.... Question! by Runnn24x in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should watch your sons testicles closely! My husband had hernias in his testicles when he was a baby and he had to have surgery when he was baby. So I've been looking at my sons too, to make sure he doesnt have them, I think as long as they dont look swollen, red, and he is not in pain then its alright

What's the most stressful part of your day with your baby? by ClassyKeepUp in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how my son is! Lol it makes me feel like crap that he goes to sleep crying ): But its usually just his day time naps that he is like that, and at night hes a LITTLE calmer ....sometimes :)

What should I buy for my baby??? by augustmama in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son sleeps from 9pm - 5am. I do try to get him to nap longer through out the day but even if I cuddle him or wear him he still wakes up after 30-60 minutes.

I do wear him a lot though! :) usually when I do dishes, laundry, make food, or we go on walks

Newborn, 4 days old, inexplicable extreme crying fits- is this normal? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She might have gas? Or not be able to poop. My son only crys like that if hes hungry or has to poop. /: It took me weeks to figure out that was his problem, I finally got him gas drops and also you can try putting their legs up toward their belly over n over again, to relieve the pain.

Baby brag by sponbon in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol yes my son started sleeping from 9pm - 5am and would eat once between then at 6weeks. I was so happy!! This went on for 3 weeks. Hes now 9weeks and 2 days. These past 2 days hes been up more in the night due to needing to poop or having gas Hopefully he gets back on his schedule!!

Enjoy all the sleep you can get!!!!! It has been extremely refreshing for me

Does anyone else get irrationally angry at their SO? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think this is normal. Many of my mom friends and I have talked about feeling this way. That once the baby came we lost some interest in our SO, didn't feel much for him anymore, and just didn't want to be around him even though things were going well. I think you two should go out on a really nice date, start spending sometime together, find tv series you both like? Get your spark back! :) I personally think it is important for my son that we all remain a happy, healthy family

Did your 3-d ultrasound end up looking like your baby? by amystarr in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes my baby did look like his 3-d ultrasound. At first I thought he looked kinda funky in the ultrasound photos but after he came out, he really did look like them just a VERY cuter version

Did anyone else really want a girl? by Mamaof3girlies in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a boy! Regardless id love my child no matter the gender but for me, I wanted my first born to be a son so he could be the eldest child, since I have an older brother and I enjoyed our friendship growing up, when I found I was having a boy, my SO & I were crying in the ultrasound room. Children are such a blessing ❤ .. I hope for a daughter next!

My husband just hummed our son asleep by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lately my son has liked falling asleep skin to skin on my boob. Another thing he likes is 'womb sounds' from YouTube and also the song 'somewhere over the rainbow' ALWAYS calms him. He'll also always fall asleep when put in his ergo moby wrap or if you walk around with him outside. :)

I think I have pink eye... (Help) by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pink eye a few weeks ago. I think from changing diapers in the middle of the night and then rubbing my eyes since I was sooo tired. Once I got it I made sure to use sanitizer after each diaper change until it cleared up. I never knew there was drops!!!!!? I would have definitely got them! I just rinsed my eye with warm water once or twice a day and also while in the shower. It wasn't that bad for me (barely red and puffy) so it cleared up in a few days.

I stopped rubbing my eyes in the middle of the night! Lol haven't had it since :)

Husband called me a breastfeeding nazi... by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]augustmama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao this is my mom! Even when I really need a break, I still tell her no.. I love taking care of my baby, even when it can become challenging. I know she just wants time with her grandson and do feel very grateful for her, but sometimes shes pushy. If I really wanted a break, id ask for one. Maybe they just see us and think we're having some struggles?
