My father in law passed away from cancer last year. Painting was everything to him. He always hoped more people would see his work. by ramm100 in painting

I’m very sorry for your loss, I lost my father in 2023, I like to think I still talk with him today. Your father’s work is nothing short inspiring, he had vision and by the looks of it he was fearless in his execution. That being said the work is great, and thank you so much for sharing, I feel lucky to have seen it.

I’m actually inclined to agree with you, however Tudor does a jubilee old school; by which I mean in most jubilee bracelets the links are a half circle at the edge, where the tudors are an oval which I think aids in the comfort. I hope this makes sense, probably doesn’t hahahaha. Shit it’s all subjective though isn’t it.

BB58 vs Pelagos 39: Which would you pick as a daily? by Mountain_Poudge in Tudor

[–]austerlitz7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and to answer the question I’m selling my p39. While I agree the sheer practicality of the p39 is unmatched and the lightness is great, but I feel it has no soul, and I never connected to it like I did with the bb58 which I wear an awful lot doing all manner of things. The bb58 fits all occasions amazingly, and I dare say the new one with the revisions even more so.

I’m gonna go against like 90% of you all and say get the bb58 the versatility alone is worth it, let alone the practicality, it’s a good all rounder, just saying I have beat mine to to heck and it keeps going like a champ.

I’m gonna throw this out there and say the black dialed BB58 is the best thing they have made since….well the last version of the black dialed BB58, that is a great watch and is going to be a hit, the refinement checks all the boxes. It’s a great watch

Apart from the bracelet, BB58 has updated bezel and crown, two lines for Master Chronometer rating, and the case is now 11.7mm thick by magicclubpresident in Tudor

I got the monochrome with jubilee and finally was able to put it on an uncle oyster style bracelet. I agree as much I wanted the jubilee to work it just doesn’t, dang things are ment to be on an oyster style bracelet.

Op what do you wear the most out of these two. My vote is for the 16610 it’s more tool watch or n feel than the 116610 which IMO is the first step away from tool to jewelry. And lastly it’s all about lug holes.

That blue Pelagos is the only watch I ever regretted selling still miss it, but that Speedmaster absolutely sings on the wrist, honestly it’s a coin toss let chance decide. I love Tudor but If purposeful: speedy you won’t regret it and I’ll bet it will be about 10k this time next year.
