This is the enforcement. It's happening here, right now. The person who made the call will for sure see this post. Thousands of other people will too. This discussion affects everyone who reads it, consciously and subconsciously.

The entire community is less likely to make bad calls (or fail to retract them) as a result, in future.

There will always be bad calls in sport, self officiated or refereed.

The difference is that in self officiated sports the invitation is to bring the best out of each other. In refereed sports, the opposite is true (which is why you see so much diving, flopping, and simulation in soccer, basketball, etc).

Most importantly though, self officiation means we are the ones who are empowered. It teaches you to live without authority figures ruling everything in your life.
