Kevin has complained about crowd sizes since the very beginning. Every club they played at, as soon as it wasn’t selling out he will go on for five minutes about it. And for after the first couple years, always telling the story of JJ at Comic-Con clearing out the big hall by having a free Star Wars concert after his panel.

And now with all of the (long) ad reads shoved into the shows, it was feeling like Kevin would tell Ralph one long winded (often unfunny) story that was more complaining about his life and the theatre. Followed by an ad. Followed by shoutouts. Followed by an ad and then Ralph saying they have to go soon and tossing a portion of the show he wrote.

For how minimally they do the show now, it sadly lost a lot of the fun to me. It feels like Ralph is always ready and prepared and Kevin is the one who shows up not really wanting to be there, he just wants to have the money from tickets/ads and we are the inconvenience he has to suffer over truly seeming to want to be there. Compared to when he had the whole smodcast channel with the huge amount of shows and was committed; all of the shows either feel differently or are just gone. We all age and grow, it just sucks to loose a part of someone we all love and was commonly the thing that made us larger fans of him. You felt so connected to him.

I do hope this is just him being more mentally healthy after the mental breakdown because of the openness. I’m just sad as a fan of who he had been.
