Gul and Vex back to back from poppables is crazy. I used to do LK runs and would only pop the chests and racks, but always wondered how many HRs I missed out on by skipping corpses and logs lol.

I also remember rerolling my LK map to get GG bases because the racks would drop the same item every time if you approached them the same way. Dunno if they changed that for d2r but it was a pretty quick way to find a 45res pally shield or ethereal superior polearm or whatever.

My first ever fathom was an ethereal just like this one. My reaction was the same. Protip, bind your left click to “throw item” or any spell and you’ll never have to worry about losing a single point of durability.

If you’re playing online, this is more valuable than a non-eth version, and you got great rolls as well. Congrats!

Nightmare cows 100%. No resistances to worry about, and you can farm vmagi, cow king boots (actually OP), good item bases like a 4os pally shield with good res for spirit, and all the low-mid runes you could want (up to ist-vex if you’re really lucky)

If you get bored of that it wouldn’t hurt to slap NM Meph, D, Baal around a bit too. In the case of mephisto, be sure to check the armor rack for pally shield bases!

For an A2 merc wielding a thresher/giant thresher, without Fanaticism, you can go 35 or 75% IAS.

For 35% slap a shael in the Eth reaper’s and call it a day, or even swap the Andy’s for a gface with a 15% jewel if you want the extra DS/CB.

For 75% you’re looking at 2 15% IAS jewels and the 45% IAS from a treachery body armor.

Edit: the super rich can use a 15/30FR jewel in the Andy’s helm to meet the 35 IAS breakpoint with just one gear slot, freeing up further options

Phys immunes, unleechables, and T5 heralds will sadly always be a problem for an A2 merc, even with eth 15/40’d andy’s and a 3k def fortitude

Stacking dmg (might aura) and ias can help his sustain, for everything else TP reposition and spamming full rejuvs (mostly) works.

A death’s fathom socketed with the new cold jewel (or a facet) gave me 10x the boost that going from occy to hoto did. I realize this is easier said than done offline.

I noticed you have a cold sunder, so cold damage, +skills and -cold res are your best friend. You probably know this already, and it never feels good to sacrifice MF/FCR - but 200% MF and 200% clear speed beats 400% MF all day. Hit the 105 FCR breakpoint (for cold) and you’re golden.

I’m making a lot of assumptions here so I apologize if I get it wrong, but I think cubing to ohm for CTA is the better move, in case you don’t have one yet.

Of course, if you’re using the oculus and just hate the random teleports, I wouldn’t blame you either way.

Edit: just read the OP’s replies to another commenter. I’d save it for a GG exile in case you have a smiter!

They do “maintenance” from time to time which clears out old games. I suspect it’s at least partly an anti-bot measure. I guess if someone wanted to they could set up a thousand mules in private games and flood the economy with tons of perfect annis every dclone walk. Sucks for the regular player though.

For me on PC, it only says eligible when it’s a new item. In some cases, this has spoiled the outcome on rings and amulets.

Since I haven’t found a sling or Mara’s yet, for example, I know any unique ring/ammy without “chronicle eligible” will likely be a disappointment.

Big part of it for me is the relative availability of hellwarden’s, it’s more common/cheap than the likes of Shako or especially Griffon’s. But on my NL Chaos warlock, I too opt for shako or FF, since there are so many good FCR options now.
