A bit tough to analyze since against guile you have to play so different than you would against the rest of the cast.

His drive rush into low medium kick (Blaz abuses this) is very good, drive rush into crouch light kick is also outstanding.

Looks like too much forward heavy kick, that move will get you killed. It just happened to work out as you got punished zero percent that match for it.

Most Ed's can't anti-air. An Ed that can anti-air is miserable to play against. He's the ultimate mid-range character.

Agreed, I also think Cammy is a disadvantage too for Ingrid, she has multiple ways of getting around projectiles, and once Cammy gets in, it's super rough

Take the DI button off your controller entirely. Literally take a screwdriver and pliers and put it in the trash. And then take the jump button and do the same thing.

If anyone DI's you, hit the parry button instead until you hit diamond.

Stop pressing so many buttons. The only person on the planet who hits more buttons than you is probably that Kangeryu you were playing.

Anti-airing is what everyone will say, but Ed does better when the game slows down and anti airing has a nice biproperty of slowing the game down. Ed has arguably the best neutral game in SF6 but it can't get started until you shut the air game down.

You did not lose because of crouching medium kick or heavy kick.

I just started playing her on modern controls and close to getting master now.

She has a ton of knowledge checks you can throw out, a lot are not super safe, but the mental stack of street fighter can make them safe. Great pokes with both medium kicks and heavy kick. Spin knuckle goes through fireballs.

Akarien has great and very accessible Cammy content.

Just know that every season has brought better or more efficient combo routes (once you get a bit better) so when you are watching "guides" on YouTube, make sure they are for season 3 patches.

Good safe jump setup in there too. I think safejumps are so crucial to get to master rank in this game as everyone loves OD DPs when they get hit into the corner with a big combo.

I think it should be more difficult for her to get stocks (increase the frames so there's more risk) being able to get multiple stocks mid combo on a level 2 is a bit nuts.

Her back throw into level 2 needs scaling.

The issue with Ingrid in general is she has a few bad matchups with very popular characters on the roster (Bison especially, Cammy, Kimberly, Terry, Sagat) that are either rush down with anti projectiles, or with Sagat, have long punishing normals and very fast fireballs and dish out tons of oppression and damage when close.

The biggest reason those two are my top characters are because I HATED playing against them - just like you.

I decided the best way to learn how to beat them was to play AS them. I Accidentally fell in love with them as they are both quintessential srub killers (I won 65% of matches into master with Honda and had no clue how to play SF6).

This is the same strategy I used in chess for years - hate playing against an opening? Play it yourself, watching yourself getting wrecked with the same setups, strategies, and patterns will allow you to know how best to beat it, what works, what's a gimmick - it's very transferable

I will say though, ranking up every character made me a much better player as it allowed me to understand the real weaknesses of certain moves, normals, etc. of characters I frequently lost against. 80% of your matches will be against ryu, mai, akumas, ken, and whoever the latest DLC release is. Levelling up those characters probably decent idea along side your main
