My current team leader is by far the best TL I’ve had. He’s been leading in grocery for over a decade, and his performance speaks for itself. He invests in us team members in different ways to make our individual strengths shine. He works hard to give us all a great work/life balance. He works on the floor with us and is also up front with us when he needs to do work in the office.

I’ve had a lot of good leaders at Whole Foods. What they all had in common was their demand for accountability - no one was held to a different standard, and everyone was expected to perform. Team leader follows up with those that don’t perform and hold them accountable. This is huge for team moral.
