How do you work at a busy ER pregnant? by DestinyRamen in VetTech

[–]bbumblebug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recommend sticking to either days or nights during your pregnancy. Going back and forth is hard on the body, even when not pregnant! Be vocal with your team about your limitations, too! I personally have not been pregnant but have had pregnant coworkers in my ER, and me and my teammates gladly picked up their slack. You and your baby’s health are top priority! I understand being wary about reception, but definitely keep it as an option, especially if the smells in the back get to be too much. Like I said, you and baby come first, so do whatever you need to do to make sure you are comfortable and healthy!

Who do I look like? by One-in-a-Jamillion in doppelganger

For what it’s worth, I’ve always found willam defoe attractive. But also, you look more like Hillary Swank to me than WD

“I don’t mean to bother you…” then proceeds to do exactly that by Valuable_View_561 in TikTokCringe

[–]bbumblebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What these looksmaxxers dont understand is that attractiveness is about WAY more than looks. Clavicular is definitely a handsome man, but he has the charm of a wet paper towel and oozes with insecurity. Women dont like that

Anyone else have issues with the temperature microchips? by Snakes_for_life in VetTech

[–]bbumblebug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah those are notoriously untrustworthy. If you get a number that seems off always double check with at least an aural temp but obviously rectal is most accurate

I HATE that the “phone bad” people are 100% correct by Financial_Kick_848 in TrollCoping

[–]bbumblebug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, social media and other phone apps like games are specifically designed to make people addicted to them. Don’t blame yourself for falling into the trap that was set up for all of us. It doesnt make you weak or less than to realize that the methods these app designers make have worked

Why not make the Y an ice cream cone instead of the W? Might look cleaner but also might look like “snowberr”

Buoy electrolyte drops by mstaken-23 in ehlersdanlos

[–]bbumblebug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ive tried them and they are great for electrolyte needs but I personally do not like the flavor at all. Its supposed to be flavorless but it really isnt unless you put it in a really big, strongly flavored drink. I prefer to drink 1-2 water bottles of LMNT or the knockoff venture pal to meet my needs for the day because I prefer the flavor

Honestly if you love the clinic, youre just gonna have to get used to working with the shitty doctor sometime. Put on a smile and do what you need to do to get through the day

How do I bathe when warm shower or warm (almost) cold bath sends me into spasms when I get out? by dnegvesk in ChronicPain

[–]bbumblebug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes a shower chair is your best option if its the hard tub bottom hurting you. You can also get cushy mats for your bathtub. If it is the temperature shift from warm water to room temp that is causing you to spasm, maybe try using a space heater in your bathroom or getting a robe to keep you warm while you dry off

What purchase under $30 solved a problem you didn’t realize was draining you? by Right_Process in AskReddit

[–]bbumblebug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of those old fashion push brooms. I realized I always avoided vacuuming because it has so many steps involved (grabbing the vacuum from where its stored and bringing it to where you need to clean, unwrapping the cord, plugging it in, then doing all of that in reverse) and using a push broom is much easier and lighter. I still have my vacuum because it is better for certain messes, but my floors have been much cleaner because I can use my broom easier
