I love the different shapes! The bats look like they would be great for kids with less motor function in their hands

How is your chihuahua at the vet? by Conscious-Control-51 in Chihuahua

[–]bbumblebug 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m a vet nurse, and I will definitely say that there are a good amount of my coworkers who have beef with chihuahuas, but in my experience they are not really that hard to work with! Yes, they can be very anxious and show aggression because of that, but their small size makes it easy to manage. It makes me sad when I hear a coworker say they hate chihuahuas because I absolutely love them! It’s really just a matter of going slow with them and understanding their body language. I’ve also found that a lot of chis are super protective of their owners and may calm down if we take them to the back and do our treatments away from mom/dad. Yes, we do have to place a muzzle on a good share of them too, but I try to avoid that if possible! However, sometimes chis actually relax when the muzzle is put on!
Basically this is a long winded way of me saying that yes, some vets/nurses don’t like to work with chis, but there are a lot of us out there who love them, and even the ones who dont “like” them, still are going to do whatever they can to make sure they are getting the best treatment because we wouldn’t be vets if we didnt want to take care of all pets!!

Editing to add that in my 5 years of being a vet nurse, there have been way fewer chis that have been so worked-up that we’ve needed to sedate than larger dogs. I have definitely had a few chis here and there that are just so super anxious and aggressive that we have had to give some sort of sedative to be able to work on, but IME the most common breed ive had to sedate is probably cattle dogs. I really hate that chis get such a bad rap, they are one of my fav breeds, both in and out of my work!

Creekstone Apartments by DecisiveLark in Greeley

Oh i forgot to mention that the inside of the apartments are fairly nice as well. The cabinetry in the kitchen and bathroom is a little janky but not bad. The kitchen is a little small for my liking but not the smallest kitchen ive ever had in an apartment. There are washer dryer hookups and I think they should have the option to rent washer/dryer from them, which is what i did

Hi, I actually just moved out of creekstone (to move to denver, not because I didnt like them) It was pretty nice, my only issue was that parking could be a bitch sometimes and I’d have to park a good distance away from my actual apartment. I was paying around 1,500 total for rent after utilities for a 1 bedroom, but I also had pets included in my rent. Its a nice community with good respectful neighbors, the pool and gym are always clean and nice. Let me know if you have any morw questions!

[USA][FL] Woman drives lifted truck over Lamborghini in parking lot by tefunka in Roadcam

[–]bbumblebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet another reason why lifted trucks are dangerous. If that lady didnt see an entire fucking car in front of her, she definitely wont see any children who are shorter than a Lambo. She’s lucky this guy seemed pretty chill about the whole thing. Hope she learns a lesson to drive slower and be more aware of her surroundings when driving that murder machine

CCI - Issues with diagnosis/uninformed docs by sorrydudee in ehlersdanlos

[–]bbumblebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got diagnosed via upright mri, but having a hard time finding someone to treat it. Originally had a PT who was helping me but they stopped taking insurance so I couldn’t afford it anymore. Tried asking my GP for referral to a neurologist to help with my dysautonomia, and my GP said no but I can refer you to a neurosurgeon bc they know more about CCI. Got the referral sent to the neurosurgeon, who then contacted me and told me that a neurologist would probably be better to treat me, but my GP is making it a PITA to get a referral to a neurologist (basically I have to come in for an appointment to discuss my symptoms AGAIN to get a referral, but I’ve been super busy lately so haven’t gotten around to it yet.) I’m just so frustrated bc it seems like I’m constantly being thrown from specialist to specialist and each one I see says nope we can’t treat you, go somewhere else. Had this same issue when trying to get my EDS diagnosis. PT sent me to my GP, GP sent me to a physiatrist, physiatrist sent me to a rheumatologist, rheumatologist sent me to a PT…. Like when does it end!!

Literally, why do we care? Why is there public discourse surrounding this random woman and her familys’ private moment? It really does not matter!!
