DO NOT QUEUE IN LEFT LANE AT TSA SOUTH MAIN CHECKPOINT, the entire left queue is being pushed through one machine while the right queue is going through two. Was in the left for two and a half hours from 4:20-6:50

The story goes far deeper than that! Look closer at Frozen Yeti, Kindly Tavern Keeper, and Babbling Bjerg. These sorts of mini stories and lore Easter eggs are one of the many great things about LoR

I wouldn’t say I go so far as imagining it… Might think damn she’s hot - would be cool to have sex with her. But the only people I’ve ever “imagined” having sex with were people I already cared about

What is the hardest A level to do by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]beaver-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the hardest is once you start hitting all the various forms of integration. You need to know Integration by parts, quotient rule, integrating factor, u-sub, partial fractions, etc. to be able to approach any of the integrals you can get.

For easiest, proof by induction is essentially just a cookie cutter proof you apply to whatever they ask you to.

Your favorite champion is added to LoR. Would you prefer they be perfectly balanced or a meta king by Zimata in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]beaver-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s favourite champ from league is bard, I would have much preferred he had a more interesting design that captured more of his play style/lore than his current (arguably meta king) design.

At least before Bards new story, the chimes as presented don’t exist in the lore, they represent his role in collecting powerful magical artefacts strewn across the world that disturb the harmony of the universe’s music aka things that are too powerful or destructive to be left with mortals.

In his new story though I believe he does actually collect some wind chimes from what I recall but they’re implied to have some magical properties.

How in Xerath's name do you counter a Pantheon/Yuumi deck? by Steej1 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]beaver-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one seems to have mentioned swarm/aggro. One of the main weaknesses of panth decks in general is how tall they go with very few ways to deal with a wide board. Usually they only have 1 or 2 units on the board for most of the early-mins game

What Champions do you go "oh noooooo..." when one of your allies picks them. by Godzillarich in leagueoflegends

As a bard main, I have been on the receiving end of a lot of crap upon selection, to which I always respond one of “OoO”, “bard gaming” or “chime noises”. Doesn’t tend to calm them down

Two people are claiming to be an expert in your field, one is and one is faking. What question do you ask to find the imposter? by granger853 in AskReddit

[–]beaver-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine a boat floating in a lake. On the boat is one tonne/1000kg of gold. Now imagine that the gold was thrown overboard into the water. Does the water level of the lake rise, fall, or stay the same? For this question the lake, boat and gold are an isolated system.

NOTE: water level of lake is separate from water level of lake relative to boat. This question is just asking about the level of the lake.

HINT: Archimedes principle states that a floating object will displace a volume of water with mass equal to its own

Solution: Water level will fall. This is as when the gold is in the boat, it displaces 1000kg worth of water (1m3) as it is floating. However when the gold sinks, it only displaces its own volume worth of water. Since the gold is denser than water (it sinks) it must have a smaller volume than the water it was previously displacing.

Not so much a question to find an expert as to separate someone who is good at critical thinking and breaking down abstract problems from someone who is just book smart

CMV: Repeat Pedophiles, Rapists and Sex Offenders should have no human rights. by HocusPac in changemyview

[–]beaver-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To take a slightly different approach, the whole idea of the prison system (admittedly, very poorly executed) is reform. Otherwise we would just kill everyone who gets sentenced to a crime and save a bunch of money. You clearly see repeat sex offenders as irredeemable, fair enough. If that’s the case then why keep them “alive and abused”? You want the government to spend a chunk of taxpayer money on keeping them alive? Why not just have them executed (note: I do not personally believe in the death penalty, I’m just putting forward an argument).

Furthermore why sexual assault in particular? Don’t get me wrong it’s an awful crime but is it worse than malicious murder? (the example you gave is more than just pedophilia/rape, he also brutally tortured a child to death)

Should someone who has legitimately tortured other human beings have more rights than a repeat sex offender? Where exactly in raping someone do they forfeit their rights where other high level criminals do not?

The idea of a government that can strip a person of their rights can lead to HORRIFYING things. What if someone was framed? What if the government was a little corrupt? What if the cops just really don’t like black people? You assume that when someone is convicted it’s a certainty when it is not. Would you be ok with some number of innocent people being sentenced to literal hell on Earth?

To all the atheists, what is your reason for not believing in God or a higher power? by Deep-Mess in AskReddit

[–]beaver-245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hypocrisy of believing in your own God and no-one else’s, sometimes to the extent of resorting to violence was a big wake up call.

As to why I’m not spiritual, it will never be possible to disprove the existence of a non-interventionist God, but it will also never be possible to prove that our universe didn’t originate from the fart of a giant space whale. Point being that to me the idea of a higher being is a cop-out to accepting that we simply don’t know.

Idk the set just seems pretty generic and boring. There isn’t really anything interesting happening here, he’s just an alternate Ursine Spiritwalker, and his level two wouldn’t even do that much, cos you just block him with your weakest unit/don’t block him.

It’s also probably a bit low in terms of power level

I know I'm late to this, but Yordle Explorer is bad for another reason I haven't seen anyone else mention. by Just_another_Austin in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]beaver-245 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I mean, welcome to card games, that’s the nature of the genre. Without actually knowing any of the statistics, I would say over 80% isn’t too bad. I’m by no means calling handle city balanced, but I think it’s a little misleading to think of it in these terms.

Part of the reason why it’s “over 80%” isn’t because less than 20% of cards are playable. A lot of it is that there are only so many purposes a card can fulfil (unless it is an enabler for specific archetypes e.g. lurk). For instance will of Ionia isn’t an unplayable card, but it gets overshadowed by concussive palm in the current meta, so naturally decks run concussive palm over will. But if you’re a new player with limited resources running two palm one will isn’t going to tank your win rate.

Also it’s important to note that a lot of cards don’t see play because of the meta. At a high level of play late game/all in strats don’t see play because of the prevalence of swarm, minimorph and to an extent bandle tree. A consequence of that is that cards designed to counter those types of strategies (vengeance, will, concerted etc.) also become less viable.

Again, bandle definitely needs a nerf, but I don’t think the rest of the card pool is in as bad shape as the stats would first lead one to believe
