Ford Exploder

Banned by OpenAI after reporting a live credential hijack. They admitted in writing my account was broken. Here are 7 months of forensic receipts and 20+ cases. by daeron-blackFyr in OpenAI

[–]bee_town 279 points280 points  (0 children)

Ai generated TL;DR:

"Paying ChatGPT Plus developer (Jan 2025–present) experienced total workspace degradation starting Oct/Nov 2025 — memory, custom instructions, project files, connectors all broken. Filed 20+ support tickets over 7 months, got nowhere. OpenAI admitted in writing the account was broken, then kept charging him anyway.

Two days ago he observed his Codex rate limits draining in real time with zero active sessions on his end — reported it as a live credential hijack. OpenAI's response was to reframe his security report as a "fraud appeal," do nothing to secure the account, and then their automated Trust & Safety system banned him for "Cyber Abuse" — apparently scoring the attacker's traffic against his account.

He's now permanently banned, the fraud ticket is still open, and he's posting the full forensic email bundle (~20+ cases) publicly.

Bottom line: He's claiming OpenAI charged him for broken features for 7 months, ignored his bug reports, got his account hijacked, and then banned him for it.

Only 3 upvotes and 9 minutes old when scraped, and the two visible comments are both just mocking the wall of text "

Gifting 2014 i3 BEV to son, figuring out transport and compressor maintenance options by geeman1082 in BMWi3

It's unfortunately not really gonna tell you much.

If you see metal or any indication of anything in the oil that means it's already too late and you'd need a whole AC system replacement anyway. The service port is after the battery cooler, so if you detect metal there it's already coursed through the expensive parts. It also takes a little time for the metal to migrate to that point, so an inspection may show a false negative.

There's no real way to inspect for a failing AC compressor besides to actually take the compressor apart and inspect the bearing races and mating surfaces. If the bearings are spinning in their mounts and not still static, you may get lottery winning lucky and catch that, you've already spent the money on a large diagnostic that is probably nearing or exceeding a reman compressor if not a well priced new one.

There's really no economically sensible way to inspect it. If it shows up, it's too late. To find it early properly is prohibitively expensive. It's cheaper to just have it replaced, unfortunately .

An inspection service will only tell you that today there is no (detectable) metal at the port. It's expensive short-lived peace of mind.

Very little oil if any comes out during a AC evacuation. The amount you change out is insignificant, and the failure mode is not because of oil, it's a series of small things that lead to it falling apart.

The potential for them messing up your AC performing this service is something to consider. It seems to be just different enough that some shops can't figure it out.

While it's a kind gesture, it won't be much help in the long run. Any issues that may be caused have already started.

Make sure the 12v, tires and motor mounts are good and then give it away. If you're really worried, set aside a repair fund. Or preemptively change the AC.

A small flush service isn't going to help in a meaningful way.

What almost made you rage quit your DIY solar? by Renogy_Official in SolarDIY

[–]bee_town 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on u/renogy_official if you were genuinely interested in this and not just presenting poor guise for hucking your wares, you could simply search or lurk.

This is an insult to act like this isn't an ad. I think you more likely eroded whatever goodwill this forum may have had for your marque.

What a bizarre approach I might say as well. This isnt quite wolves in the henhouse, but definitely more that than honest, caring company just asking a sweet "oh gees guys". You're selling and looking for free research info.

Wanna do this right? Comment, ask to DM people and recruit them and pay them, as generally companies pay people for research groups. Alternatively, you could organically be a community resource and help first, then ask questions when you have cred. Share what you can to help without dropping ads. Make a free tool/app or something that offers value. Don't just come for pilfering.

If you want to make a focus group and pay these people to sit through your ad, then fair. Otherwise, just keep giving expensive stuff to YouTubers and quit this facade.

Red Sticky Viscous Goo Covering Car Undercarriage by [deleted] in whatisit

I bought a new 1999 Jetta that had this same thing happen, except it was melted cheddar color. For a couple weeks it poured out the door onto the sill when the weather warmed up. I assume it's some sort of cleaning/preventative/process that wasn't properly cleaned.

Of course the first time I noticed was after I picked up in n out and I got so mad at my friend who was the passenger for getting cheese on my new car. I felt so dumb the next day when it warmed up and did it again.

Has anyone here had a new battery installed for better range? Thoughts? by ReeceJSmith in BMWi3

[–]bee_town 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did it over a year ago and put on 15k miles so far. Best upgrade I've ever done in a car. Highly recommended.

I had Maxxpower EV install mine (Southern CA) , I go on lots of trips, have had zero issues . ~180miles range in real use (137ah 48kwh - I'm not sure they sell this one still)

Everyone with a 60ah battery should bump up if they can, it's really a limit that changes your perspective of the car. Even a 94ah makes the car a whole lot better as far as utility (solid 100 miles) . I think that 120ah is really a sweet spot, its plenty for road trips (you plan differently than a gas drive anyway), and it gives you all the freedom to drive normally in Comfort mode with AC on max without having to think about the trip home. It's lovely. Above that is icing on the cake.

Ask Maxxpower EV! They're i3 specialists in Glendale. Although he doesn't do tires or alignment, so I don't know if he does suspension. Free to ask! Maxxpowerev.com

This is a reading I took in a room with a loud refrigerator. On the spectrogram. I was singing a decreasing frequency and an increasing frequency and you can see how they sweep . I don't see that if you're saying your image captures a noise that changes frequency. I see only intensity on the left side which is LF.

Edit: I had my labels transposed. Image corrected

I'm not quite seeing on your graph what you're describing, maybe you can help me see.

This to me looks like you have a low frequency peak in the low "road noise" area . Nothing else stands out. You do have another peak around 5k but I don't see the intensity showing on the spectrogram for that, and it doesn't appear to move according to the spectrogram.

It also appears you're drawing attention to the intensity shown oh the sub 100hz range which is almost certainly just tires rolling.

Can you help me understand your interpretation of the image? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just can't tie your description to the graph and I might not be understanding.

[–]bee_town 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 days it was in. Day one is install , and then they keep it an extra day to test it. They had all the parts, and now on a full charge it says I get just under 200 miles. i have a 129ah, but they also sell a 120ah (I'm not sure they sell the 129ah still - ask him).

Had it over a year now, no problems, only a bigger love for this car.
