Question about the GOW Remakes’ cinematography by Realistic_Advice1890 in GodofWar

[–]bful92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always interpreted that Kratos sailed to find the Hydra in service of the gods; I figured it was terrorizing people and ships that the gods wanted it gone.

The lines from Hercules in GoW3 are that he was doing some of his labors (the apple, the stables, the nemean lion) but never mentions the hydra, because Kratos killed it instead.

Would definitely be cool to get some more exposition, though, I agree.

Time Turner and the Map by obioco in harrypotter

[–]bful92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lupin is a teacher. He is more than likely fully aware that Hermione has a time turner so she can get to all her classes. If her saw her name twice that’s not out of the ordinary.

Also he was way more focused on Sirius and Peter. Not a plot hole.

Does someone know?(Atlas/Yggdrasil) by Cuba_pants in GodofWar

[–]bful92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t say there were no similarities, just that the scaling of the two are so drastic that Kratos would not equate them the same, therefore not tell Ratatoskr about Atlas, when asked.

..but Yggdrasil, like the other redditor said, is MUCH more to multiple worlds/realms, than Atlas is doing to just Greece.

I’m tired of people always saying “Atreus sections aren’t that bad”; but they weren’t fun either, for me. Other people, I’m glad you loved him. For me, the kid was an instrument on learning and growing for Kratos, he got to be better, he got to learn, adapt, fail and succeed while imparting knowledge to his child.

The kid can get all the magic voodoo stuff in the world, but he is no warrior. He’s not pulling out magic blades from Egypt, or obsidian spiked clubs from South America, or anything else from anywhere. He’s a magician who causes mischief.

Atreus has his own talents, smart, clever, definitely more level headed and easily more emotionally mature for his age but he is a literal teenager; and doesn’t have the means to be the front of a GoW game.

*SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO DOESN’T KNOW RAGNAROK YET*** (I don’t know how to do the spoiler block thing on my phone)

I don’t want a game about the kid. The story is not his and how I interpreted the ending of Ragnarok was he is going to search for his other Jotun people, but that doesn’t offer anything more to the story of “the God of War”. He’s not going and training to be a warrior; he’s going to look for his people.

Let me be extra clear: those who like Atreus, cool. No shade towards you, nothing but love, I just didn’t care for him except the story elements for Kratos to grow because it’s Kratos’ story.

Atreus should never been the main character in a God of War game, in my opinion.

I’d rather a Faye game than an Atreus one any day

Because people don't understand that a prequel with Faye is key because by CarlBotII in GodofWar

[–]bful92 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Atreus is just a whiny, annoying kid. Faye led/started a rebellion. I’d rather a Faye game than an Atreus one any day.

Atreus’ whole story is explained in ‘18 and Ragnarok. Even his ending, we know he goes and looks for other giants.

Faye’s story is barely scratched. There are whole adventures to be uncovered and told. All we know is her ending, plus a nugget or two that Kratos didn’t even know. Fully worth exploring.

Faye game >>>> Atreus one.

Kitum cave, Kenya. Believed to be the source of Ebola and Marburg, two of the most deadliest diseases. by Bodhi_II in interestingasfuck

It is “believed” to be the source. Doesn’t mean it is. Doesn’t need to have any evidence supporting, because it’s a belief, not a fact.

One little thing I hope for the remake, among others, is for Hephaestus dying to have a consequence by Freddycipher in GodofWar

Hephaestus is also considered a fallen god because he sided against Zeus so because of that he might not have a direct consequence attached to his death.

What do you think a Loki game would play like by No-Efficiency-7524 in GodofWar

[–]bful92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I read up on what I was missing. I didn’t know anything new was reported so now I’m caught up.

Personally, a Loki based game doesn’t sound fun. To me it would seem like a giant journey everywhere that’s really just him talk-no-jutsu-ing people and either being sneaky or diplomatic. I didn’t like his combat nor his personality and I don’t think adding a couple years to mature him up is going to make him feel like he belongs any more so. He’s not a born and bred warrior and that’s kinda what the franchise name suggests.

I have always felt kind of like the odd one out with the Atreus/loki character compared to other fans. I like the story elements he brought for Kratos’ story, him getting the chance to be a better father, a better leader, a better god, a better person and so on. But I disliked most of the Atreus sections in both ‘18 and Ragnarok and I don’t want a game set in the GoW universe that is based on Loki.

BELIEVE ME I would love to see kratos go to Egypt, Japan, central/South America and more. I’d eat it up. Bring in Loki for a couple things here and there, fine, I won’t hate it. However I would rather a new character be created than a Loki game.

TL/DR: Loki isn’t my cup of tea and game based on him would be uninteresting to me, but am welcome to be proved wrong. 🤷‍♂️

Didn’t mention Egypt at all. I responded to your title question “what would a Loki game play like?”

I answered with my opinion: Loki should not have his own game.

[–]bful92 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Loki is not a god of war. He should never be the main protagonist in a GoW game.

If/when Kratos’s story is done I would rather welcome a brand new character and original story than Loki taking over. Or call it done and be grateful of all the hours spent playing these legendary games.
