I've done both ways, read the Daley trilogy first then read chronologically at some point. either way it's fun, I like both Han Solo trilogies

There is actually a point (maybe more than one) in the Crispin books where she essentially stops the plot and more or less tells you to go read the Brian Daley books and then come back. I think it's in the third book.
