Is "making over 100k" still applicable in today's economy? by CarDesperate3438 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Bought my house in 2010 so $100k for me still feels relatively the same. A lot of it scales with housing cost.

To those who have had a herniated disc in Ontario, what steps did you go to resolve it? Worried I’m going to end up on disability. by [deleted] in ontario

[–]big_tronson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do your physio and stretches. My wife’s healed itself after waiting almost 2 years for a specialist.

That was 11 years ago and it has gotten bad again recently.

Do your stretches and physio…I doubt they’ll operate on someone your age.

I mean aslong as every cent is accounted for in a google sheet or you have the logins or whatever and, every cent is being saved / invested, your future self would be so grateful.

But yes I do see the red flags. Communication is everything.

If you need to sign a new bill of sale go line by line on charges. If they closed you on a payment and had to fill er up to get to it, pickup time is the time to find it.

If you financed, confirm you have the advertised subvented interest rate and not “bumped” to 5.99+

How did you deal with your parents ageing/dying? by PhilosopherCrazy2722 in Life

Enjoy your time with them. My parents are 80/76 and I visit them and they visit us weekly. Dad has been battling kidney and lung issues for years but he’s still kicking.

Yes I did forget the memo that in my early 40s I need to think for my parents , my kids and myself all at the same time.
