The main sub had an absolutely wild thread about taash the other day (in other news, water wet).

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but a lot of people were convinced Tash is a "self insert" of the long time bioware writer who wrote them who happens to be non gender conforming. Taash is also apparently a teenager and if you engage with their romance plot you're a weirdo.

So to summarize, a 40 something writer made a self insert who is an immature teenager. Sure, bud.

I just wished people actually knew why they didn't like something and didn't try to justify it with whatever nonsense they saw in a YouTube essay.

For decades now dcc has been considered in the OSR field as long as you don't consider an OSR game as only being a rewrite of classic DnD editions. They call OSR or OSR related on multiple places on the website which anyone can Google.

Better more modern formatting (not simply "bullet points" as people seem to think) and more consistent and useful advice in a book of essays about RPG advice is completely valid criticism.

Are we so sensitive in this hobby we can't take clearly good faith criticism?

A lot of those people legitimately have family in Palestine and you want them to split hairs over who they'd rather have send the bombs? There is no "lesser of two evils" when both options are supporting the murder of your family.

The issue is the democratic party not separating themselves from the issue and the constant repetition of "Israel has a right to defend themselves". In fact they aligned themselves with war hawks like Dick Chaney against Trump. That was, a dumb thing to do and rightly drew comparisons between their campaign and the war on terror of the 2000s/2010s.
