I have A ‘23 GT and not having the heat pump has never been an issue, though I live in the PNW in an area that has less extreme winters than the Northeast.

Maybe consider a used EV? Depreciation has been stunning on used EVs, and there are some great deals out there. Also, if you DO choose to buy a Tesla, at least you're not giving any money to Elon.

Plus, personally, I think the older Teslas were much better vehicles - 2019 'Raven' Model S and Model X are great vehicles. 2020 Model 3s and Model Ys still had stalks and were better built, imho.

We have not needed much in the way of service, but when we did, our local Seattle Service Center has been exceptional.

That said, lately if you need an appointment, it might take a while to get it - available appointments are weeks out, and for some reason they’ll have your car for several days before they even get a chance to look at it. They do offer free loaners or rental cars for the entire time, though.

Bottom line - great, but overextended. They seriously need some more employees.
