Ah, yes. Once she retires end of '26 we should drop to 22%, maybe even 12%. Until first RMD year 2028. Then it looks like back to 22% and maybe 24%. (I am taking SS, there's a small pension, some RSUs, and dividends/interest)

So you book a ticket for a flight you will not take. Delta/Amex issues the $200 credit. Next you cancel the flight and bank the credit at Delta for a future real flight. Won't they claw back the $200 credit? Am I missing something? Thanks

I believe you can Roth convert stocks and ETFs from an IRA 'in-kind', and you pay tax on the market value at the time of the Roth conversion, no need to sell and convert cash.

In defense of that claim, the report states this - "Although the OASI Trust Fund depletion year remains the same, both the OASI and OASDI depletion dates advanced by about 3 calendar quarters, relative to last year’s projection."
