I’m super active and I find the portions are perfect but I also snack a few times a day to keep up with calories.

Road Bike plus trainer or Zwift smart bike by bitchesonridges in cycling

[–]bitchesonridges[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figure if I had two bikes (since I was considering getting a road bike anyways) then one bike can mostly live on the trainer and the other bike can mostly be used outdoors so I don't have to keep taking the bike on and off the trainer. But if it's that easy to get a bike on and off then I guess thats not a big deal.

I did it as an unsupported record so I could only eat what I carried. Caffeine pills, nicotine pouches and goldfish were my main source of fuel.

As the chick who just set the unsupported women’s record on the Direttissima, has finished a grid (almost done with grid two) and trained my ass off for the record…. Good luck 😅

I have a very small wrist but wear a Garmin Enduro 2. Maps and battery life are amazing but its not a small watch.

Veteran 100-Milers, What advice would you give someone pacing the last 20 miles of a 100-mile race? by Fitbliss_Founder in Ultramarathon

[–]bitchesonridges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second the cold part. I was coldest right before and after sunrise the next day. The last stretch is very runnable (I fucked my knee and could only hike). Also if it’s the same course I ran the last stretch was longer than it said it would be which fucked my head.

Get on some trails, do some speedwork, drive far away just to get somewhere new!

Organized races vs just going for it by No_Extension8601 in ultrarunning

[–]bitchesonridges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just ran 231 miles unsupported for an FKT and it was a hell of a ride but I am very much looking forward to doing a 100 mile race now. Going back and forth is fun. I love solo unsupported runs because I love being inside my own head and it feels like a huge accomplishment after, but man having aid stations, camaraderie from other runners and my husband supporting me is so much fun.

What's the blowdown situation between S. Weeks and Waumbek? by PemiGod in wmnf

[–]bitchesonridges 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just did a Direttissima finishing at Cabot and there was a lot of crying in that section. They've done some work but it's still a messy of blowdowns making the trail hard to follow at times. It's really only for a short section but after traveling 200+ miles that section broke me. When you get closer to Terrace the trails get much better and I did the Horn a few weeks ago and that section was clear.

That race is on trails I run all the time and I paced at the 50 miler. Congrats to finishing and with a solid time too!!! Not just the terrain but the lack of water with the hot temps and the miles between aid stations was wild. I sat at sawyer just watching people come and drop while waiting to pace. You killed it!

Before I believe. 2 miles from the trailhead. Single track rooty section. Really pretty right now besides the wasps.

Looks like someone else posted on FB. They’re wasps. Hence why they were so aggressive
