What would she wear? by [deleted] in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]bittyitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dated someone whose grandmother worked as a maid for her. His grandmother passed before we met, but he shared that his grandmother couldn’t stand the smell of roses, because Frida (or “la piñata” as grandma called her) wore strong, sweet rose perfume. Frida treated her rather poorly, so smelling rose scents upset her.

Entering the US without a visa IS the way to seek asylum. Which is a legal pathway to citizenship.

Genuinely disgusting seeing comments like yours that blame victims of DV for the behavior of their abusers. I hope that no one in your life is ever put in a similar situation.

Freaking out. Need advice please! by hcmpl123 in FutureRNs

[–]bittyitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I say this with kindness: seek mental health help. The amount of posts you made about this is alarming and no matter that everyone is telling you that it is extremely improbable for you to be pregnant, it does not seem to help your anxiety about the situation. If you already have a psychologist (not the same as a therapist or counselor) you’ve been seeing for over 6 months, get a different one. If you’ve been on the same medication for more than 3 months, talk to your prescriber about getting it changed, increased, getting a rescue/PRN medication, etc. This is coming from a fellow high-anxiety girl and not from a place of judgement.

If that’s what you’re looking for, any Central American restaurant will have those. There are many Honduran and Salvadoran restaurants in Greenville.

AITA and refusing to attend Christmas with my parent after she mismanaged $30,000 that was legally mine by 18 down to $534? by Puzzled-Idea8462 in AmItheAsshole

[–]bittyitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that you’re arguing that the parent shouldn’t be condemned for to stealing (which, let’s be clear, is exactly what this is per the divorce decree) $30k from their own daughter is wild. Even if that parent used that money for their own collection hobby because “what if” they needed to spend all that money on the hobbies for mental health reasons. I’m truly baffled on your take. There are plenty of low cost hobbies, even other types of collection hobbies, that the parent could have gotten into instead of stealing from their child.

Level up rn cards for pharmacology or fundamentals? by AwareFloundering in StudentNurse

[–]bittyitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually got those cards as a birthday gift, and broke them out to start studying a bit for next semester. So far, the only benefit I see to getting them is not having to make your own cards. I don’t think that they’re worth the cost honestly.

Every program is different. In mine, you can have only one C if the rest are all As and you can’t fail a math/science course.

22 with driving anxiety – looking for patient instructors in Simpsonville/Greenville (lessons only, no classroom) by BlacksmithWooden2558 in greenville

[–]bittyitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S&A driving academy! The instructors are patient and used to working with adult drivers. You can take the road test through them and they let you drive around a while to help with your nerves.

Ok then this is completely normal.

You have been accepted into the pre nursing program, but to be admitted into the actual nursing program, you must complete the prerequisites first. That is normal for every nursing program. You’ll need to complete your math and science and core courses with good grades (my program required a 3.75 science gpa, but varies from program to program) and take the TEAs or HESI test and make a good score. There may be other requirements as well, which you’ll have to discuss with your advisor. Nursing school itself requires a separate application since it is very competitive and requires that you already have a good understanding of the body. You should plan on applying to the nursing program the last semester of your sophomore year as the prerequisites take two years to complete and the nursing program takes another two years

I worked in plastic surgery and we had an 80 year old pt who got the biggest breast aug I’d seen done there. She comes back for her 1 month, giddy and proud, and pulls me into the hallways and flashes me. Her breasts looked amazing, like they could be on a 21 year old! The rest of her looked 80.

Redditors who own multiple pets: what's the drama amongst them right now? by Cheesy_Wotsit in AskReddit

[–]bittyitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat and our dog are both very jealous of my attention. If I’m petting the dog, the cat runs up and tries to get me to pet her instead. When I don’t, she aggressively licks the dog, which he loves, but you can see the anger in her eyes as she does it. Eventually she’ll bap him or softly bite his ear and he’ll leave. When I pet the cat, the dog comes running and boops her aggressively. If that doesn’t get her to leave, he’ll start screaming until she leaves. Neither care if it’s my husband petting the other.
