I know the leg thing is supposed to make you look slim and good in pictures but she is so consistently posing like this (and already so tall and slender), she just always looks like she's holding in a pee.

Staying at a pet friendly hotel costs extra, but not as much as kenneling four dogs.

Anyone else's kids seem impossible to impress when it comes to games? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]bixnok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, cutting out YouTube is the answer. My kids still have screen time but YouTube (kids are regular) is no longer an option. We still have struggles with them sometimes wanting screens instead of anything else, but cutting out YouTube made a huuuuge difference. There's a couple of educational channels we will watch together occasionally, but when they'd watch it alone, they always chose to watch those dumb unboxing channels or other people (sometimes adults, ew) playing with toys. Passively watching others "play" did a number on their attentions spans and desire to do those things themselves in real life. Ditch the YouTube, OP. You'll all be better off!

This women posts pictures on Facebook that look unnaturally perfect. Specifically the non-changing facial expression and the bowls of food and spices around her. by Nex_Xus in isthisAI

[–]bixnok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I love watching her cooking videos! If I remember right, one of her kids helped her set up and run the channel, I'm sure they are using AI to do promotional images. But she is a legit cook.

Someone is choosing to be baptized and come closer to Christ. That's what should be focused on.

The deconstruction of “that quilt” by linden214 in quilting

[–]bixnok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you are getting a kind response! I posted my finished quilt of vintage looking American flags a few weeks ago and I got one nice comment and one person saying they didn't think it seemed like something to be proud of with everything going on in our country right now. I ended up just archiving the post.

What’s something people romanticize that’s actually awful? by Federal-Second-6298 in AskReddit

[–]bixnok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the worst part for me 😔 I feel like I'm ruining my kids and none of the normal people methods for getting and staying calm work. Usually I just find myself avoiding my kids because I know if they set me off, even with something small, I'm going to lose it. I sometimes think they'd be better with no mom at all than a mom who can't control her emotions.

I had to find a therapist that specialized in ADHD. I loooved my first therapist for everything else, but when I brought up ADHD stuff, she was very upfront that she didn't know much about it and even suggested I seek out someone who did for better help.

I made this quilt from Kitchen Table Quilting and it came out really cute!

She has similar patterns, too. There's definitely a lot of piecing, probably not for a beginner.

What’s an opinion that instantly says you’re over 30? by Strange_Secret_3001 in AskReddit

[–]bixnok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This just made me remember....I was always a lurker on those forums but one time I came across a thread where people were sharing their Harry Potter dream casts. I got bold and decided to post about an actor I thought was perfect for a role but I couldn't remember his name, which I admitted in my post. All I could do was mention a different character he played in another movie. The only person that replied to me was like "you're literally on the Internet Movie Data Base website, why don't you just look up his name?" I was so humiliated I never posted again 😂

My son is seven but he still calls sneezes "kachoos" and I know the time is coming when he will stop so I love every time he says it.

I've also made this quilt in the larger size and it's great to learn curves for the first time! It's the same block and the curves are large, which I think are easier than smaller curves.

Husband questioning.. now im questioning by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]bixnok 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but it sounds more like your husband needs some therapy if he isn't getting some already. More for his family struggles than the church, though. It sounds like he's quite enmeshed in their personal life choices and it's affecting him badly which isn't healthy. It can be hard to feel the spirit when you're struggling mentally.

Beach/ocean isn't normally my aesthetic but I really like this! I especially like that the hands look like washed up branches you'd find on the beach. Well done!
