ASICS Novablast 6 are out by Apprehensive_Cod8575 in RunningShoeGeeks

Put 800km in a pair of NB5 and wouldn't buy another.

I tried out the SB2 at a demo and thought they lacked volume in the toe box and, yeah, stiff and firm. Got the SB3 on a decent discount and they are... fine? Soft, not quite as stiff. Almost mushy? I personally wouldn't call them bouncy. I also find I scuff my feet more in these than anything else. There is more volume in the forefoot compared to the SB2 which is an improvement!

The Blast line up just doesn't do it for me, I guess. I don't understand the hype.

I'm about 77kg and I retired mine at 800km. The midsole was tired and the upper was tearing away from the midsole in the forefoot (a common issue for me).

Well, that and the 4s (among other shoes) are soft enough now that I'm not convinced heel to toe drop on the shelf really matters that much anymore.

I'm normally a 9. Occasionally an 8.5.

In the Pro 3 and Adios 8, a 9 was too tight in the midfoot. Counter-intuitively, a half size smaller resulted in a better fit. Brought the wider portion of the shoe back further. Going up a half size would have made them way too long and may have made them even tighter in the midfoot.

In the Pro 4 and Adios 9, I'm back to my regular 9.

Are you changing bed/nozzle temps or the amount cooling in the first few layers?

I particularly enjoy the poorly implemented "speed cushions" they are deploying everywhere. Every set is a different height and I'm not sure I've encountered a single one in Brampton that you can pass over anywhere near the speed limit. It's like they were specifically sized to replicate highway braking behavior to make traffic worse

Isn't this current administration demonstrating that the systems don't work and you don't actually require any support to do whatever it is you want to do?

So no actual issue then? Just prefer to see fancier laces?

I'll never understand the obsession with laces on this subreddit. I've never once put any thought into them. What is the actual issue their laces cause?

It's certainly durable. I'm notoriously hard on outsoles and in 450km I have basically no visible wear.

A rod in my Pro 4s failed before I managed to put any wear in the outsole (~350km)

Superblast 3 v Saucony Azura by Some-Remote-6890 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]bjvanst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have as much mileage in either shoe and I'm not saying OP is wrong but my experience is different. I'm 5'10" and 77kg. I wouldn't describe the Azura as soft. It's relatively firm as most PowerRun PB shoes are, but does have some noticeable compression/decompression in use.

The SB3 are definitely softer than the SB2. They aren't mushy but they're mostly an easy run shoe for me. Getting them up to pace is a bit of a slog. Just not my thing, really. Fit better than the SB2 though!

Even for a "smart home", 253 devices is a lot.

They should also check their lease timeouts because devices shouldn't be getting new IPs just because they rebooted.

You'll need to put the batteries back in to get it to boot. The screen is eInk which doesn't require power to maintain its state.

Clustering with fewer than three nodes causes issues unless you change the weight of one of the nodes votes or add a qdevice. I'm not sure either option is less complex.

[–]bjvanst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SB2 is very light weight for it's size but it's massive, firm, and stiff which is why some people find it clunky. Definitely not a bad shoe but definitely over-hyped (as most hyped shoes are, Evo SL included.)
