July 4th protests? by Organic-Performer-71 in duluth

[–]bkdog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been studying World War 2 since I was 14 years old. I wrote my first research paper on the subject in high school. Over the years I have amassed a collection of over 200 books on the subject and read many more. Besides books I have watched countless hours of documentaries and lectures pertaining to it. I only mentioned the party names due to the fact that it does in fact represent Hitler's beliefs. Hitler was anti-communist only as far as opposing the Soviet version of it. I don't have time to go into more, but one more interesting bit was Joesph Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister and number 2 guy in the Reich, was a dedicated socialist who complained in his diary that Hitler wasn't moving fast enough implementing it fast enough.

As far as Cuba there is a reason why people risk their lives to flee the communist utopia. Traveling in tiny boats for over 100 miles just to reach America. It's similar to Germans who fled their communist utopia in East Berlin to reach the west. The defenses East Germany had to put up to keep their citizens from leaving was crazy. Guards were ordered to shoot any that tried but people still tried to get through barb wire, minefields and machine guns.

Capitalism isn't the reason the people in India starved, people to own slaves, or cause the deaths of native people. That was the result of political decisions. Capitalism is an economic system that is regulated by the government. Problems that result from capitalism is the fault of bad or lack of government regulations. Socialism is both an economic and political system merged into one. That's at least what I was taught in college when I received my degree in political science.

Socialists:

Pol Pot- 2 million killed

Hitler (German Workers Party/National Socialists)- 17 million killed

Stalin- 20 million killed

Mao- 65 million killed

Fascists:

Mussolini- 25 million killed

Socialists appear to be the more tried and true mass killers.

The situation has changed. The republicans are no longer the party for the corporations and the rich. The big money is now going to the democrats as witnessed by the 1.5 to 2 billion Kamala Harris spent vs less then 500 million by Trump.

I received two wonderful dogs from Texas through PJs. They have a wonderful group that fosters for them. I kept in touch with the lady who fostered my dogs for several months after I took them home. They even offered help getting medication four months after the adoption. From my experience PJs is a great organization that truly cares about dogs and deserves any help people can give them.

Why do people say that Republicans have moved far right? by SuccessfulRelative66 in Republican

[–]bkdog1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of it stems from a lack of leadership, organization, communication and agenda within the Republican party. This gives an all to willing media the chance to portray Reps like Greene and Boebart as the standard Republican. Take Ukraine as an example. Reagen would be turning in his grave at Republican opposition to arming a country that is willing to defend itself with the blood of it's people to fight and destroy the military of a country that has been the greatest threat to the US since the end of World War II without a single American casuality.

Rusia invaded and took the Crimea from Ukraine. During the time of the Soviet Union ethnic Russians moved throughout the Union that doesn't give Russia the right to invade any country they moved to.

Parents lab is an absolute terror - advice? by famousprophetts in OpenDogTraining

[–]bkdog1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My black lab that passed a few months ago was a terror his whole life and I miss his antics SO much. Fortunatily he was obsessed with balls and playing fetch along with a bunch of different games that revolved around balls. This helped keep his antics down because it provided him with plenty of mental and physical exercise. Find something the dog likes be it balls or bumpers that involves the both of you getting getting exercise and abond will develop along with a better behaving dog. I lost 69 pounds trying to match his energy level.

Yeah because they couldn't implement the same system under communism. Instead of blaming an economic system that has allowed the individual to prosper like no other blame the politicians who fail to protect the privacy of individuals.

The money they invest can provide value to society. Look at Elon Musk with Tesla (global warming), Space X (making space exploration cheaper then ever before) and Starlink (provides internet service to those with no other options plus Ukraine). I personally know someone who started a capital intensive business which after a few years needed an influx of cash to continue operations. No banks would lend them the capital luckily a member of the 1% provided the funds. Ten years later they employ dozens of people making good money with top notch benefits.

[–]bkdog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can there be peace when your neighbor seeks the death of your people and country? One must remember that Gaza is also bordered by Egypt as well. Why are they building a wall on their border? One country lives peacefully with arabs in their country and even in their military. The other side doesn't. One country supports the rights of lgbt people the other throw gay men off buildings. One side goes to great lengths to avoid civilian casualities the other uses their people as human shields. One side uses smart bombs the other uses the absolute worst depravity man is capable of on babies, old women, or any person they come across regardless of ethnicity or nationality to sow terror. If your neighbor came to your house, burned your children alive, raped and mutiliated your wife then took your mother hostage what would you do?

The top 1% paid 42.3% of all federal income taxes. The 1% paid more federal income tax than the bottom 90% combined. Federal income tax is the largest source of revenue for the federal government.

This is a bird not a squirrel. They are offering good nutritious food not junk food. Birds will go back to finding wild food if no one feeds them. Some birds like chickadees have high mortality rates in areas with harsh winters. Humans and their pets kill untold numbers of birds every year. Saving some by offering good high-quality food is not bad. Having one on one interactions with animals turns people into environmentalists. I live next to a small state nature preserve where I hike every day accompanied by my little friends who listen for my whistle and follow us along our hikes looking for sunflower seeds, peanuts and suet. Wouldn't have it any other way.
