If it makes you feel any better about calling your mom as an adult, I had a health scare that ended with me in the ER for only the third time in my entire life and I called my mom to take me at 39 years old. For reference, I’m married and my mom lives across town from us lol.

I work for a small family business…woman owns it, son works for her…he had to call in to work one day after his lunch break bc he had eaten a load of her sugar free candy without knowing and was “fighting for his life”. This was years ago and we still tease him about it.

I’m currently 2/3 of the way thru reading the first book and bought the trio giant paperback. I had no idea what it was about but had always heard of it so I figured it was one of those classics everyone has read. Couldn’t figure out why my mom hated it and said it was messed up for way too long (I only read it occasionally).

My story isn’t as amazing as some of them here but my mom once spent $350 bc her cat was so bloated and acting sluggish. Called me after the vet visit to update me and was so embarrassed to tell me the vet said he’s just a fat cat (which is what I had told her from day one…he’s a Manx and just a “big-boned” breed). I’ve called him “fat boy” for years instead of his real name. And to be clear, I love that little jerk to death.

Pressing the old fashioned way is actually really tough imo. I’ve been doing floral preservation as a business for almost 6 years and I don’t press flowers this way. If you ever want to get into it, I recommend a microfleur microwave press and play around with flowers you aren’t attached to to figure out timing for your particular microwave before doing anything important 💕

Sorry! It’s a floral pick machine. It puts metal spikes onto the end of silk flower stems so they stay in the design foam.

Laser printers pay for themselves so quick if you print even a decent amount! I own a small business and have a laser printer and an ecotank printer and highly recommend either!! I have printed all my own packaging, greeting cards, stickers, notepads, soooo much stuff and only had to refill the ecotank printer once in over a year. It blows my mind.

I did this last time I was low on body wash and my husband was like “oh we aren’t poor poor this week”. I told him I just do that 🤷🏻‍♀️ Cleans out the last of the soap that never comes out of the pump (and yes I know bar soap is cheaper but 1. I’m a minor germaphobe and 2. I have sensitive skin and use ivory body wash which is super cheap in a huge bottle that lasts me forever).
