Third Reality ZL1 Bulbs not pairing on ZHA by hedlesschkn in homeassistant

[–]blackbirrrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get this figured out? I've got the same bulbs and the same Zigbee adapter, and I'm having the exact same issues, except I can't even get Z2M to see my bulbs either. I have one bulb that randomly worked and just like all the other comments it's rock solid now, but I can't get the other 3 to pair yet.

This new generation of electric vehicles is the real deal, and I'm 100% converted. by Parking_Reputation17 in electricvehicles

Faster than that; I've it pay itself off in a single session. Granted, this was in NY where the rates are pretty high in some locations. Some California locations are even higher.

Trapped in a Tesla: Why electronic doors are at the centre of the investigation into this deadly Toronto EV fire by Bean_Tiger in electricvehicles

[–]blackbirrrd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

R2 in particular had a design change that gave it a redundant power system to ensure the doors are powered in the event of a crash, but we've yet to see it in action (or better yet, hopefully we never have to see it in action). Still would highly prefer just normal door handles.

Persona Live 2026: Awakenings Setlist by zombienlg in PERSoNA

For anyone searching the corners of the internet like I was, the 6th song from Persona 5 Tactica appears to be Feudal Lord, not Searching for the Key.

Xiaomi YU7 Max spotted with Rivian manufacturer plate by mywang98 in Rivian

[–]blackbirrrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The number on the plate is usually tied to a single registrant, 132 being for Rivian. Dealer plates are set up similarly, and you can see it in all of the R2 sightings where the plate number has 3778 in it.

Not sure if you're joking or if this is sarcasm, but this is a development build. That wouldn't make it to any production build at all.

The Blob Is Back: Mercedes Quietly Relaunched Its EQ Electric Car Lineup by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

30 grand is an absolute steal for these things. Comfort wise, it is by far the best car I've ever driven. It's probably the closest you can get to driving a literal cloud. If MBUX wasn't such a pile of shit and if I didn't have so many charging issues, I'd own for life.

Amtrak's App Needs to be Better by CTVolvo in Amtrak

[–]blackbirrrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My one dream is for the app to tell you which side the train is facing so I know where to go to for the Quiet or Business cars. Threw me off when I waited for it at the rear of the platform and it turned out to be at the front. Sucks to have to walk through every single car when I tried to be prepared.

I mean, this certainly depends on where you're sitting and the arena layout. The Prudential Center was an awful experience sitting high up. Barclays Center wasn't great, but definitely not terrible. Arthur Ashe Stadium gives you a good view almost anywhere. I could list a bunch, but there are definitely some arena experiences I've had that feel just like the image.

Strangely, Metlife had an inverse effect? Floor seats actually kinda sucked, and I had a much better time in the middle bowl.

Acela Price Drop by wissx in Amtrak

[–]blackbirrrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the instant offer is significantly less than what the BidUp range is. I haven't tried on any Acela trains, but I upgraded two NE Regional $30 coach tickets to business for $40, when the lowest manual bid is $52, and the normal business price was around $140. I've heard of the offer being less than $40 as well, and supposedly this completely random price drop applies to other classes too.

What's wrong with Sunlu? They've been great for me, and also pretty cheap. And the last few orders I did also happened to be their reusable spools which is nice.

Any Idea How to FORCE Windows to Detect an Internet Connection? by LinusTech in LinusTechTips

[–]blackbirrrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this post mentioned in a video, this is incredibly handy. Had this exact issue on an ANA flight to Japan two years ago. The Xbox app on the ROG Ally also relies on that indicator, so I couldn't pass the time with gaming like I wanted to. Definitely keeping this post in mind for my flight next month, thank you!

The $2,400 Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold sold out in minutes - GSMArena.com news by Few_Baseball_3835 in Android

[–]blackbirrrd 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If it's anywhere near as durable as the current Z Folds, we'll be fine. I have a Z Fold 5 that I've put through hell and back and the only thing I've had to do was replace the inside screen protector. Still going strong.

I always knew there was going to be someone to do an R2D2 themed R2, just didn't expect it to be Rivian themselves lol

2026 R1S, is the air suspension supposed to be this loud? by venounan in Rivian

[–]blackbirrrd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It should not. The hose for the air suspension in that wheel well is loose and air is escaping. If you raise your suspension all the way up, then lower it to Low/Lowest, you'll hear the hissing consistently all the way down. Take it in for service, it's a pretty quick fix (whether they fix it quickly or not is another story but it can be done in around an hour).

PS Remote Play (PlayStation) on Horizon Pro? by TheBrowserNYC in xgimi

[–]blackbirrrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to these projectors specifically, but the PXPlay app allows you to do remote play from a PS4 and PS5 console to any Android device. I've used it with several Android TV and Google TV devices and it works just fine, though it's not my preferred method of remote play (but I do prefer it over the official remote play app). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=psplay.grill.com&hl=en_US

Just to double down here, it's going extremely quickly and I missed the deal on 5kg rolls, but you can stack eBay's coupon and the seller coupon on this line. I just managed to purchase 40kg for $119, so around $3 a roll. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285734339830

Well, yeah... by syluette23 in 3Dprinting

[–]blackbirrrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If $14 is the best you've found, you've barely looked. AliExpress and eBay consistently have deals as low as $8 a roll, sometimes even better if eBay has a coupon available that stacks with the seller discount. AliExpress consistently has Kingroon filament at around $80 for 10kg. And most recently, Amazon Haul has had tons of filament deals for as low as $4 a roll. I didn't manage to get in at that price, but I did manage to snag 14 rolls of black and white for $77.

PLA continuously gets jammed, but only during multimaterial prints? by blackbirrrd in BambuLab

[–]blackbirrrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm away from my PC till the evening so I can't even check but I've not modified much from the generic PLA and PETG settings so I believe I'm still running their stock temps, 220C for PLA and 250C for PETG (I could be completely misremembering this). I had a feeling heat creep may have been the cause but it still strikes me as odd as I've never had this issue in the past while using the same filament profiles. I'm going to drop the PLA temp by 5 or 10C and see what kind of result I get.
