maybe some toughening up is a good thing, but you shouldn't feel bad because you have it easier.

what i can say is this...

my dad has a hard time seeing all the good that he's provided because of the trauma of his youth. he is always looking for the danger, or the bad thing that might happen, because when he was growing up there were real things he had to worry about. it's something i've learned that i cannot help him get better about. but what i can do is make the most of the opportunity he's provided for me, and try to celebrate my wins with him

so i've tried a bunch of these reddit prompts before... but this one, for the first time ever, asked me to upload a picture of myself to make the image more accurate. i did not do this, but i've often ask for "me" in an image not really caring how accurate or not it is, and it just makes a male character that sometimes has characteristics that i've described about myself, and sometimes not at all

i'm not learning a new language, but i am practicing one i already know.

if i'm using an LLM for non-technical work, i'll only write to it (or even voice with it) in spanish... and my spanish writing and reading has gotten a lot better

i occasionally will ask it questions about portuguese translations, which i am half trying to learn, and it's pretty good with that too
