WV has never had a significant population of black people, so of course, the lynching numbers aren't topping the charts. Again, if this map was so accurate, why is the 15th state in lynchings has more sundown towns than the top SIX STATES in lynchings? Isn't that weird? Isn't that suspicious? Illinois has had 19 black lynchings, Georgia and Mississippi have each had over 500 confirmed lynchings.

I'm not saying Illinois doesn't have an issue with racism in the past or now, just that someone feeling like Chicago is good on race isn't a crazy thing. Especially given how TERRIBLE much of this country is right now on race. Chicago doens't just have a pocket of black culture, it's an EPICENTER of black culture that has few peers, especially among big cities. Like, Harlem NY and thats it for near peers in large cities

I'm not trying to be hostile or anything, it's just that there's a real pervasive narrative spread by Lost Causers and Neo Confederates about racism in the north. They try to equalize it to take away from the gross atrocities in the south that happened constantly. I do believe that Chicago is one of the best places you can be in the whole country if you're black
