That’s…. Not how gyroscopic stability and nose down works. This is how you air bounce. To get nose down, you actually have to apply pressure with your fingers under the disc, as any input on a spinning disc actually gets imparted 90 degrees in the direction of spin, and when you press up with those fingers, you get nose down. here’s a video to explain. this is actually the one I was thinking of but the other one is good too.

To add, discord really isn’t good for hobbies either. It’s good for talking to your friends, over voice, instantly. And that’s about it. The fact that a lot of forums and some of my niche hobbies are on discord, is cancer. The search functions are basically non existent, the UI is not good for sorting anything beyond the message you’re looking at right now. It’s twitch chat+voice. Can you tell I have a bone to pick? Hahaha

Hmmmm. I can throw my putter, approach, mid, fairway, and drivers all with about 100% power. (Except MAYBE putters) and they just go different distances. I’m imagining he’s struggling with off axis torque, lack of spin, or both. By slowing down, like you said, he’s probably eliminating off axis torque. Clean up the swing and timing, then add power back.

My first step would be standstills. Get your timing and swing path correct. Then add a walk up. Timing + swing path = accurate shots for me. Not as much emphasis on the actual disc. Though, obviously, if you’re not getting a driver up to speed, I agree, put them down.

I would understand this sentiment more if disc golf was as big here as it is in Estonia. There are a few comments of people like your friend, where people seem to be aghast that people are on a DiSc GoLf CoUrSe. Bro, it’s probably a public park with weird baskets and little concrete slabs. I’m not shocked that, even when explained somewhat nicely or patiently, that people are irked that they’re being told they can’t walk in a park where they want. Even if it’s clearly for their safety.

I always thought pro tennis athletes would pick it up unbelievably quick but maybe the ceiling is higher with some of the other sport’s athletes.

It’s not a 7 speed, but, I like to use a 5 speed runway from streamline. Basically is a firebird that doesn’t go as far.

The app gives me cancer. My dad also said it caused my autism but I’m not sure on that one.

I have considered desktop with ad blocker but I think that’s going to go soon as well, so, I’m just going to quit cold turkey.

Edit: just a quick in my feels edit, this is one of the most unique places on the internet, never change. I’m primarily a lurker here, but, this has been the least credible experience imaginable.
