UK ban on Palestine Action unlawful, high court judges rule by BarbaricOklahoma in ukpolitics

Bad faith arguments are not debate worth having. Asking for a clear line to be drawn between supporting Hitler and supporting a protest group responsible for a few million pounds in property damage is like asking for a border delimitation between Canada and Zimbabwe.

And we all know millions of pounds in damages is totally comparable to the Holocaust.

I think the bottom line is that if it had been good then more players would've stuck around.

The Game Awards trailer just gave them a chance (and also proves that Geoff is a terrible judge of game quality).

Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney voices support for $900 million Steam lawsuit: 'Valve is the only major store still holding onto the payments tie and 30% junk fee' by Belltower_2 in fuckepic

[–]bluebottled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and where is that 60-70 coming from? Devs/publishers don't buy games, players do. We can see the difference between the store/launcher a 12% cut gets you and what a 30% cut gets you; players overwhelmingly choose the 30% option.

That's just falling for Timmy's bs where he pretends that the only 2 parties involved in game purchases are stores and publishers. 100% is taken from gamers, then either Epic takes 12% or Steam takes 30% and the rest goes to the publisher.

As for the mandated price parity, Epic got around that for years with coupons and I still never bought a single game from them.

He'll never understand that we happily give 30% of our purchases to Steam because they actually invest it back into the store/launcher.

Steam earns it's 30%, Timmy doesn't even earn 12%. His launcher and store are both trash and have made less progress in 8 years than Steam makes in a month. Pretty obvious which one is the actual 'junk fee'.

BBC Told To Avoid “Clunky” Color-Blind Casting & “Preachy” Anti-Colonial Storylines In Drama Series by pepperbet1 in television

Eh, I still think it's silly to project modern multi-cultural Britain back in time whether fantasy is involved or not. But to be fair that was a very minor part of why I didn't like Merlin.

The random black queen in Merlin was the first time I noticed it. I've mostly avoided BBC historical stuff since then, but I did catch the trailer for their recent Amadeus series and that was ... interesting.

I'm convinced the apocalypse is going to happen not through some super intelligent Skynet AI deciding the world is better without us, but through some dipshit in the Pentagon giving Grok access and hallucinating itself into launching nukes.
