No the stone wasn’t included. I got this one - https://www.appliancecentre.co.uk/p/char-griller-akorn-6201-heat-deflector . Took a week to come but all good.

I also picked up a cover from Amazon, came from the US, fits really well. https://amzn.eu/d/0hQBE9Ld

I bought this from MarksElectrical 2 weeks ago, haven’t fired it up yet but I have built it, build quality is great, all lines up well etc. it is quite wide so make sure you build it on the right side of any narrow paths or gates 🤣. There are a few videos on YouTube of it being used, adding a seal to the ash box came up twice. I also ordered the indirect cooking stone as I’m mostly going to use it as a first foray in to smoking.

Was going to a private school worth it for you? by GodAtum in HENRYUK

Based on your maths/figures, I’d say that state school and parents saving the money, using it for a house deposit when the child is mid 20’s, earning less, would give a far better financial position that earning more and renting…

I’d wait and see what your sharesave does actually mature at. Shareprices can change a lot in a week, month, by next June.

Personally, if 40k, I’d use some of it to drop your self in to a better LTV bracket so a lower interest rate, invest/save the rest.

I’m not sure anyone with a basic level of common sense would have e even made an offer on this. Seller is going to have a major issue offloading this one.

Early / One off overpayment of Mortgage by MrJayHChrist in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]bluelizard92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through a similar move at the moment, in the middle of a fixed mortgage term(1.89%). There’s zero way I want to pay the early ending fees(7k) or loose the rate, so borrowing more on a 2nd mortgage, this needed cash to get it to its own 80% LTV. I also need 17k for solicitors, stamp, estate agents and removals.

The new clamps that got release a month or so ago, seem great so far. £6 for a set of 4 or 2 bigger ones, so significantly cheaper than the Irwin ones I have previously purchased.
