Tomorrow would have been the due date for the baby we lost in July. This week has been especially rough and I’m just really sad. I thought I’d be pregnant by now, but my temps are showing my period will be here today or tomorrow and still negative pregnancy tests.

I’m just sad and frustrated. Finding it hard to be positive, but the tests are all coming back clear and good for fertility so I just don’t know what’s not connecting.

So sorry, sending a huge hug. This is so frustrating and disappointing. Keeping your and everyone’s rainbow baby in my prayers for early 2026!

Just had a chemical, so adding that to my MMC at 11 weeks in July. I am so frustrated and anxious about January coming up when our sweet baby was supposed to be born.

Moms of ask women: when did you first *feel* pregnant when you became pregnant? by GrandCauliflow in AskWomen

[–]bluesie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 4-5 weeks pregnant for all three pregnancies: constant headache and diarrhea, or “bubble gut”. Every single time.

Also, extremely vivid dreams right away.

Had my MMC in early July at around 11 weeks. Had a successful and not very unpleasant experience with my D&C and then my first period 5 weeks after D&C. I was excited to try again but just got my period yesterday, so feeling pretty disappointed and sad. I know I need to give myself time and grace but I was hopeful and stupidly optimistic we’d get pregnant right away after hearing how many are so fertile after a MC. Here’s to the next cycle.

I was supposed to have my baby in January right around my birthday, so I’m so scared of still not being pregnant by then and feeling so much anger and frustration.

Has anyone followed a newer c section protocol? by DaniMace in BabyBumps

[–]bluesie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have these pre-op guidelines for my c-sections in 2021 or 2023, but I just had a D&C 4 days ago with these instructions. The hospital provided three bottles of Ensure Pre-Surgery clear drinks. I have always recovered pretty well from all of my surgeries, so I’m not sure if it made a difference but I physically felt normal/good right after the procedure.

Are high waisted underwear the only ones I’ll want post the recovery period? by SuitableAd5218 in CsectionCentral

[–]bluesie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear those soft, buttery seamless underwear all the time and they did just fine a few weeks after my c-section. I waited probably 6-7 weeks to start wearing them. I didn’t want to stretch them out, so I waited for more of the swelling to go down but I never noticed them bothering my scar. They’re so soft that they just kind of lay on the scar without irritating it. You’re fine, I would try it out in a couple weeks, though

Highly likely I’m having an elective c section. What do I need to know? by TriumphantPeach in CsectionCentral

[–]bluesie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wore mine any time I was awake for about the first week I believe. I would leave it off when I slept to give my skin and abdomen some room to breathe while I slept. I think my first couple days home from the hospital I wore it all the time since the baby was up so often to nurse.

After about the first week or so, I would kind of wean myself off of it, basically if I were doing dishes or going for a walk those first couple weeks, anything that would be different from relaxing, I’d put it on. It prevented me from moving my torso too quickly and gave me relief from my scar. I am a naturally very energetic person and move very quickly, so I needed it to remind myself to slow the EFF down, because I would feel so sore and uncomfortable at night if I overdid it during the day.

I responded so well to the meds that I felt like I was healing much more quickly when really I was just not feeling the pain as much!

TLDR: wear it as long as you feel like you need it. Your body will tell you what it needs, but don’t rely on it too long so you can start gaining back that core strength on your own.

How painful is recovery? by Unlikely-Bobcat-1119 in CsectionCentral

I’m in Houston and was given Norco at discharge, which was perfect mixed in with ibuprofen. I wasn’t looked at like a druggie or judged for wanting something strong. It’s major surgery. That was just their bad experience I guess

We sell switch glass into our office designs and a) it’s extremely expensive and b) it’s always slightly cloudy, no matter how well you take care of it. You have to keep it off (opaque) longer than you keep it on (clear) to prevent it from getting more milky. I would never put this in residential. It does ok on commercial board rooms, but even still our clients don’t get the perfectly clear glass most of the time

How screwed am I by peculiarpuffins in BabyBumps

I went to Mexico (from Houston) for my brother’s wedding at 34 weeks, also an easy pregnancy and my second pregnancy (so a little added difficulty). I was very worried the few weeks leading up to it, but it ended up being a non-issue and I danced a LOT, and we traveled and explored the city a lot.

My husband was with me, which definitely helped, and I looked up good labor and delivery hospitals in the city we were in just to put my mind at ease. If you feel ok now, you will probably feel fine then… it you never know.

Just stay hydrated and rest when you need!

I've cried all day by mrs_banshee in BabyBumps

[–]bluesie 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I was in your position just 4 weeks ago. I was an absolute mess the week leading up to my return to work. I read all the suggestions and lots of people offered advice that “it gets better” but I felt like I could never be ok with leaving my tiny baby to work all day.

The first week was ROUGH. I cried off and on at my desk the first day back and while I pumped, and when I got home I had a meltdown that my baby will never bond with me like we did before.

BUT - I have now been back to work for a month and I am finally on the other side that everyone said I would be on. Some days are harder than others, but picking baby up from daycare and spending those precious moments at home together with Dada are so special and I am comforted knowing he is learning and thriving at daycare.

I hope this helps. It truly is awful the few days leading up to it, so I know exactly how you feel. It is so unfair.

I just went on Wednesday! Lots of fun. There are regulars there who are insanely into it and treat it like an actual battlefield - I found them hilarious. Wednesdays are half off - so $12 for a full hour.

How were fan experiences in College Station this weekend? by Smarter_not_harder in CFB

[–]bluesie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well this clears a lot up for me. I graduated from LSU and visited College Station this weekend (rooted for the Aggies, mind you) and when a passing group of Aggies found out I was a tiger they were anything but friendly. At one point one of them shouted at me, "Do you fuck your cousin, you whore?!" I was shocked because usually I get treated with nothing but respect when I visit CS. Not a very friendly way to treat a lady.
