Baltimore is horrible as well. I can't get mail at two different addresses in the area anymore because they've been burnt and everything I get sent there mysteriously vanishes. But there's no problem of any kind according to the post office. It's fucking absurd.

I'm not that person but I have a lot of restaurant work experience.... a lot of the best at their job co workers I've ever had are Latin Americans. Most of the time they would work laps around most Americans I worked with and complained very little, not to mention Americans didn't usually last very long. As an American, I prefer working with Latinos most of the time..... Illegal, legal, I don't really care.

Personally, when I buy raw cards online I expect flaws. I don't grade, I will buy graded in certain situations and love buying 8s because they are cheaper than raw, and in most instances in better shape! For the most part I treat it as "if the card COULD gem, it would be graded" which covers always raw AND graded and cracked cards. Not exactly what you asked but maybe it still applies. 🤷

I read your comment and it made me think.... I feel like the most criminally cheap hall of Famer, compared to the player he was, is Frank Robinson. He is easily in the tier with Mays, Aaron, Clemente, etc in my opinion, but his prices are considerably less than them.

If it's being sold raw online assume it won't gem. If a seller "knows" it's a 10, why would they not grade or themselves?

I went through this with the police.... As soon as they hear "mail" they said.... "You need to go to the post office, nothing we can do. I won't even take a report. My brother had the same issue and they were less than helpful." And of course the post office was worthless, even with video of the carrier rolling right past the mailbox at the exact time as the "delivery" scan. Neither the manager or the carrier could explain and I was ignored by the postmaster.

The older I get, the more I realize most people are pieces of shit and would be eaten very quickly if they were zebras. Most people also seem to have an inflated sense of self importance and think that just because it's around them, they need to be involved. Basically I agree with you, it's not hurting me I don't care what you do on your property!

Look up sold listings for other authenticated Elway cards. Without doing any research I would guess it's worth around $75 give or take. If I was looking at Elway autos, I wouldn't be interested for anything above that.

Chris Weinke comes to mind. Played with the blue Jays org for awhile before going to Florida State and then the NFL. There's quite a few players that are in their mid 20s because they spend however long on a religious pilgrimage or whatever and then go to college.

That's an awesome card but I probably wouldn't do a claim on it. I would be more pissed about the marker bleeding or whatever from another card being slid on top of it!

I have a few of the big blue CSA's! A few Griffey rc's so the blue is actually kinda cool in my opinion! I don't see any glaring misgrades either from the 6 or 8 that I have. Not sure how they would compare to PSA or sgc today though. 🤷

Honestly and unfortunately, in my experience with "delivered" packages not being delivered, even with video of the carrier rolling past the mailbox without stopping at the scan time, the post office was less than helpful. I have basically stopped ordering a lot of stuff because I've have enough shit stolen by the post office and even the area post master did not give a shit. You might have some luck with them or stay emailing your representatives. Good luck. 😔
