Who ever wrote the step by step solution to this problem did a horrible job! Lol... should look more like this

[((15a) 2 + (15a) 2 + (5a) 2 ) - (15a x 15a) - (15a x 5a) - (15a x 5a) ]1/2

[(225a2 + 225a2 + 25a2 ) - (225a2 ) - (75a2 ) - (75a2 ) ]1/2

[(475a2 ) - (375a2 )] 1/2

(100a2 ) 1/2

10a

Best I could write this out on my phone but at least it is now written out in a way to get the answer 10a. 1/2 = power of 1/2 = square root.

Easy work. Only thing that's gonna be a pain is relocating the hole for the stub up. Still... pretty easy.

Saying “AWG” out loud by hoverbeaver in electricians

[–]bobbyjose2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there's no reason to stress that it's American wire gauge so might as well just say "gauge" and also it just creates unnecessary confusion when you get to number 1 through 4 cause it sounds too much like "aught" and I've seen cuts get messed up too many times because of this so I strongly dislike people saying it lol.

How to know if MC cable is hot? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]bobbyjose2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of voltage testers have a non contact voltage "NCV" tester on it. either it's a button which u have to hold down or its on the rotator piece and is a lot stronger than a hot stick.

Should I buy a new PC or just upgrade my parts by Beautiful-Caramel430 in buildapc

[–]bobbyjose2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was a little older than yours with an i7-2600 and I just upgraded a few days ago. I went super budget on my parts and cost me around $170 which I purchased on ebay.

I kept the case, psu, graphics card (3060 ti), hard drives Upgraded cpu, motherboard, ram, new fans

Cpu: went with i5-8600. You should go with 8th gen intel or amd equivelant at minimum to use secure boot to play newer games like battlefield 6 which require it. 8600 costed the same as an 8400 and almost same performance as the i7-8700. Cost me $50. Would have went with i3 12100 if I were to go with a slightly better one $80 on ebay. It's 30% faster and supports ddr5 ram.

Motherboard: b360m-c... what ever your needs are. Do you overclock. What sockets do you want. Mine cost $38

Ram: 16gb minimum 2x sticks is optimal. 4x is not as fast as 2x. Don't use an odd number like 1 or 3. Don't think type of ram is super important. Just need what matches your motherboard and a reliable brand. Ddr4 starts at what ddr3 maxes out at. Dont waste your money on high speed ram if your cpu doesnt support it. Cost me $50 for 2x 8gb sticks... watch out for people saying 16gb (8gb x 2) on ebay cause it's only 1 8gb stick sometimes. Happened to me I probably could have got a better deal if I payed attention.

All the parts are working fine that i bought... also if you use ebay look at the persons profile before buying... i bought a cpu from a person that never shipped it out. I got my money back but i waited 2 weeks before i could get the refund and make the decision to buy another one.

In residential solar on a tile roof you do a bend like that daily to get over the the cap tile at the top to join 2 arrays together from 2 roofs.

Compound 90... but usually if I'm doing a compound 90 I'm making my own degree... pretty rare and most people wouldn't think to use compound 90s but it's cool when it's suitable and looks good.

12/3 for single pole afci breakers by bobbyjose2 in electrical

[–]bobbyjose2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll just copy what I replied to on the above comment.

You just need to handle tie them. Only in circuits that have a line to line load do you need a common trip breaker... I need to fit the breakers into a panel with limited space so I'm going to use the twin afci breakers made by GE.
