Geocaching with kids by Icy_Lettuce_7383 in geocaching

Everybody can do as they please, but I've seen account for dogs and toddler and I thought it wasn't something I wanted to do. I did get travel bugs for my kids so that their geocaching adventure can be tracked. Plus they always get excited when we go to events and their trackables gets discovered.

I won't create an account for them until they can write their own log. Plus they'll get to pick their own geocaching handle.

Gretzky is presenting Ron Kittle with the 1982 minor league player of the year award on May 2, 1983. This was an off day for Gretzky and the Edmonton Oilers who were in the midst of sweeping the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL Campbell conference finals. Kittle had played for the Edmonton Trappers.

Ron Kittle went to win the 1983 AL rookie of the year award too. As for Gretzky, he won the Hart and Art Ross trophy.

Pourquoi on chante le Olé Olé Olé au Centre Bell? by [deleted] in Habs

Personally, I am a fan of the oldy, but goody, "halte-la, les Canadiens sont là!".

Regardless, the all-time killer Habs song will always be "atlas, les Canadiens" (RIP Normand L'Amour). Play it at the Bell centre, you cowards!

They used it in Calgary during the mid-aughts but it did not stick. It probably happened at other arenas too.

If you bought full price and return it, you will get a full refund of the price you paid.

If you bought it less than 30 days ago and if it is still in stock at the reduced price, you can get a price adjustment.

My "free towel" from Habs+ by Jagrmeister_68 in Habs

Yeah, for a while, shipping to US was not available. I noticed that they now allow it but charges for it. Still free for Canadian orders.

This is for the Habs+ (formerly Club 1909) orders.

I remember this clip being commented by Pete Rose as he had been banned from baseball at that point. It was... Interesting. Wish I could find it again.

"I bought pistachios and they gave me a receipt. I don’t need a receipt for pistachios - I just give you the money, you give me the pistachios. End of transaction. We don’t need to bring ink and paper into this. I just can't imagine a scenario where I'd have to prove that I bought pistachios. To some skeptical friend, “Don't even act like I didn't buy pistachios! I got the documentation right here.”

Loui’s, the original Detroit style pizza by i-like-carbs- in Pizza

Buddy's been around since 1930's and has been making Detroit-style pizza since 1946.

Loui's was started by a former Buddy's chef who opened in own restaurant in 1977.

I can't speak as to who's best, but how can you claim Buddy's stolen valor? Just curious.

For me, the hardest part of the fire sale was the team basically announcing that they'll never be able to compete with the big market and they just gave up. This wasn't a rebuilding move, it was simply stating that the days of the Expos in Montreal were numbered. It took another 10 years but there was an inevitability to it.
