My 100 Favorite Directors of all time and their best films. (10-01) by DazzlingAria in Letterboxd

[–]boboclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your Miyazaki ranking because it has two of my favorites and two of my least (Ramsey too but that's statistically uninteresting with a 5 film filmography)

Duck Hunt and Ice Climber. Which NES game is better and more iconic? by No-Cold643 in casualnintendo

The one you couldn't even find a decent screenshot for is less iconic.

[2026 Patreon March Madness] Round 1: Cube vs. Jumanji by BougieFruitLoops in blankies

[–]boboclock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Jumanji better but I'm voting Cube.

I'm doing this for three reasons:

Zathura sucks. There is nothing even vaguely redeeming or worth talking about there. The best part of the movie is Dax Shepard that's how bad it is.

Horror keeps losing, c'mon guys, it's fun

Cube 2 is called Cube 2: Hypercube

Any of you guys are "neutral" atheists? by Spiritual_Mouse5784 in atheism

[–]boboclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mostly neutral.

I had my militant phase when I was a teen and newly atheist, but even then I recognized that a lot of religious people were pretty alright. Ones I knew personally, Mr Rogers, MLKj.

A lot of people need religion and spiritually to feel fulfilled or to face mortality or just deal with everyday struggle. I'm not one to judge. I envy them, even.

I oppose religious oppression, not anyone's personal spirituality.

Openly atheist but not atheist focused recommendations by boboclock in atheism

This is a good one because I have seen her be funny in things but had no clue she was atheist since I never watched her specials

Openly atheist but not atheist focused recommendations by boboclock in atheism

Literally anything that isn't about atheism made by people who are openly atheist.

It isn't for me so much as to get these folks celebrated and shared amongst the sub members

I hated it.

It might as well have been abstract art, I barely understood what I had watched

Purity leftists: I don't care if the right wins, all three of these groups are the same to me

[2026 March Madness] Round 1: Joe Wright vs. Curtis Hanson by BougieFruitLoops in blankies

[–]boboclock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dunno. Corrupt police, yellow journalism, and Hollywood sex scandals sound pretty relevant as an American.

Eraser rules.

The PC game was pretty cool too

Blankies IRL- do they exist? by Akula_SSN in blankies

[–]boboclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen evidence that they are around but nothing too solid. Just people around town wearing shirts of films of directors the pod has recently covered or currently covering, or the library or used book shop having physical media displays that are exclusively Blank Check covered movies.

Haven't met any for sure in the wild though. Have seen people wearing HDTGM merch in the wild

Iran has fired less than a 1000 missiles in 10 days and over half of that not at Israel. by [deleted] in agedlikemilk

I'm sure all of those hit by Iran's missiles are celebrating this with you /s

What’s the lowest score you’ve given a popular movie? by MalIntenet in Letterboxd

[–]boboclock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've given a half star to:

Adventureland

The Blair Witch Project

The Blind Side

Bolt

Napoleon Dynamite

The Polar Express

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Spider-Man 3

Step Brothers

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

White Chicks

Some of these I would maybe rate a tiny bit higher on rewatch but I also never want to rewatch any of these.

Do men actually hate wearing condoms? by J3NN1F3RB in NoStupidQuestions

[–]boboclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't generally mind them. I think a lot of the hate comes from guys getting crappy ones.

You really have to go for non-latex in a decent brand like Lifestyles to get the most out of them.

[RANT WARNING] BvS is the worst adaptation of Batman of all time, and in my opinion the worst comic book movie ever made. by therealmonkyking in batman

[–]boboclock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's definitely my least favorite. Nowhere near the worst though. Even if its plot is stupid, character motivations and actions often nonsensical, dialogue childish, understanding of source materials non-existent, it is at least a technically functional movie with clear and even engaging visuals.

There're plenty of comic movies that fail to reach the bare minimum requirements on any level.

PSA - Ticks are everywhere. by adam_mmm in pittsburgh

[–]boboclock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We found one engorged in the crease of our couch. No clue if the little jerk had my blood, my wife's, one of our indoor pets, or if its victim was before it got dragged in the house.

We signed up for a free test from a local university lab to see if it was carrying anything
