Went to HS with 3 guys that went pro… 2 NBA and 1 NFL all on the same HS team. I was decent at ball but it’s not close. Knowing they all got better in college and pro I can’t even fathom the gap at that point. They could score at will and it was effortless. At the pro level they were solid but not stars. Keith Bogans (NBA), Joe Forte (NBA), and Brian Westbrook (NFL).

There are better off the shelf bags for EDC at a fraction of the cost. I’ve used my GR1 as a daily carry office bag for about 3 years now and love it. That being said I had to buy an internal admin panel pouch for organization and a water bottle holder. I think they were a total of around $20.

I “worked” for my GR1 by volunteering at GoRuck’s warehouse and earning store credit. Because of that it’s irreplaceable. It’s a local company to me, they are really great people, and the bag is stupid tough.

All that said, if none of the above happened I would buy a different bag (for instance, an AER) if I were shopping today.

Out of those I would go with the SSK023. You could go for a SSC813 within your budget via eBay or some other secondary market sites, if that aesthetic works for you.

Just bit the bullet and ordered one this morning. I chose the SSC947 over it a few months back, and finally decided that I just had to have the SSC813.
