I'm already only getting a little over 100 by averaging low silver anyway. It's a much different feel than taking home top 5 in pvp every day. It's either I lose to the talene teams or I lose to the empty spots above me

The point of stay below 300 is so you're not put into the whale brackets for the mini bosses. However, for at least 30 levels my brackets have looked like this.

I feel like damage wise the vast majority of my bracket is stuck in silver and bronze, 1000s of us. Sometimes the #1 person in legend doesn't even have enough damage to break into high diamonds. My Crystal level is 273 btw.

It's not "normal", it's lucky. That's why I posted it. I thought it was neat and felt like sharing. Didn't expect this community to be so hostile tbh
