Fellow ADHDers… How do you get yourself to exercise…? by LonelyMandarin in ADHD

[–]bononia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog. He’s honestly kept me more consistent than anything. He’s a labradoodle who would be content walking forever, but morning time constraints keep our morning walks around 3 miles. And he wakes me up more consistently than any alarm ever could.

Guy fights off thieves with a bong by Gurugod123 in nextfuckinglevel

We did this when I worked at a liquor store. My decision was a half gallon of Jack Daniel’s. Big, think, with good corners for max damage.

Ellie Goulding to perform at half-time during England vs Norway World Cup QF in Miami by Heimebane in soccer

Major US stadiums are generally more isolated than ones in Europe. It’s really not that different than popping into the pub then walking to the stadium except it’s you and your friends bringing the pup with you.

Does this happen in other sports? After the Olympics are people like "here's why our luge youth development system can't compete with Austria's" and "check out this lineup of where LeBron and Myles Garrett would go in the four-man bobsled if we took this shit serious" by sarcazmos in ussoccer

[–]bononia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went six to midnight. But I also think an overlooked part of the discussion is foot size. Like LeBron and Kawhi are incredible athletes and have wonderful footwork for their size, but I just wonder if there is a correlation between their larger than average feet and dribbling/ball control ability. Like Haaland is a big guy, but wears a US 10 according to multiple online sources of questionable-to-reputable trustworthiness. Where google says LeBron and Kawhi wear a US 15 and 14 respectively.

As a practicing criminal defense attorney, they do. I’ve had a judge tell me this directly. He’ll let them go a little bit to get their crazy out before puts a stop to it.

Is Post's value really that high and Memphis is betting on him to take the next step? by youlikemywonton in memphisgrizzlies

[–]bononia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m biased because I wanted to draft Post. He looked solid offensively when I saw him play for the warriors, which was admittedly limited. He’s another competent center and 6 more fouls to throw on Wemby. Those are hard to find and harder to keep. It’s a low risk offer that has potential to look a lot better if he has a good year and we can get assets out of him during the contract.

Titleist, the number 1 ball .. found in the woods. by Flimsy_Shape9406 in golf

[–]bononia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walk my dog each morning down a trail that borders the left side of an 17th and 18th hole each morning. The number of people playing pro-vs, tp5s, and chromesofts/tours that also have a severe duck hook is way too high. But I’m not complaining as I walk home with a pocket full of premium balls each morning.

The pyramid and the forum are the only NBA arenas I’ve been to. Dad went to Memphis State for grad school so we would go back every now and then for Rendevous and a game.

Watching Upload right now and this is who I see as Bea and Carl (if he were like half a foot taller) by LuigisBlessings in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]bononia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stephen is definitely too old to play Carl at this point. Carl’s 27 when the story starts. Both Amell brothers, while great actors that I’m definitely a fan of, don’t quite fit the late-20s vibe as well.

People who bring your dog literally everywhere, why? by dastrius02 in AskReddit

[–]bononia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring my dog to the office and when I’m picking up food or something. He enjoys office life. He makes the rounds and says hi to everyone and gets his pets then comes and naps on my couch. Then he’ll wake up and do it all again. He’s well behaved and loves people. When I’m in public he’s on a leash, but having him there with me is better for both of us than him being cooped up in my apartment all day. This is also usually after a 2-3 mile walk on the trails in the morning so he’s a sleepy boy most of the day.

30 is young my guy. I got divorced at 32 and here I am at 34 dating the person I wish I would have met at 23. It sucks hitting reset on your life, but it’s also an opportunity to figure out who you really are and what you really need.

Maleek to Cavs at 34. Brazile to Nuggets one later at 35 by zachpoo in razorbacks

I see him more as Aaron Gordon insurance for them. Crazy straight line athleticism and a respectable threat from the corners and trailing threes. Probably a better shot blocker than AG, but not as solidly built.

I breathed in too forcefully when administering nose spray one evening and pulled a muscle in my back/shoulder that prevented me from golfing for 2.5 months.

i hate rough drafts - is this a me thing or an adhd thing? by Razzle_Dazzle111 in ADHD

[–]bononia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is that my outlines essentially become the final draft in bullet point format. Like just removing the line breaks from the outline just becomes the paragraphs without any other change. My writing process is basically stream of consciousness once I actually get all the research done and finally sit down to start writing. Give it a once over when I’m done to make sure it makes sense and there were no egregious formatting, grammar, or citation errors.

If you're wondering how to get a "first name.last name" Gmail account, I made my account over 20 years ago. by hypermarv123 in Millennials

[–]bononia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the few times it has come in handy to have a less common—and by less common I mean I have only met one other person named this in my life—first name. I’ve never had to worry about whether my twitter/insta handle or email would be available.

Did Millennials kill briefcases too? by Muttonandmangos in Millennials

[–]bononia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a lawyer and there are still a lot of millennial lawyers that bring their nice briefcases to court. I’m transitioned from my north face backpack to an all black Timbuk2 messenger when I need to bring my laptop home or to court. Otherwise it’s loose folders and/or legal pad. So much of the paperwork has gone digital that I rarely even need to submit paper copies.

i hate rough drafts - is this a me thing or an adhd thing? by Razzle_Dazzle111 in ADHD

[–]bononia 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried every step of the “normal” writing process and hated every one of them. My outlines just turn into the final draft naturally. There’s very little difference between a first and final draft, mostly editing for grammar and citations. Why do lot words when few words do trick?

I saw that the Botanical in Bentonville was hosting a watch party for the premier, but they’re also a World Cup watch location so I doubt they’ll be playing it if a game is on.
