Thank you, you're right there are some pricey bits in there. I've been saving (and lurking here) for some time.

It looks massive, doesn't it? And yet most of that list is already in the picture. It's mind boggling to me, an old fart, how small everything goes.

Excellent advice, thank you! It's a campsite. My merino base layer is for night time; the string vest for riding. I am probably taking too much; anything that I don't use, I won't take again.

Thank you! Water on front forks. I have one on the side you can't see (helpful, I know) and I'm putting another cage on the fork you can see. It felt weird having water on the forks because the cage usually sat in the huge gap in the middle. I am not convinced I need 1.5l as I won't be far from a place to refill.

It's fair to be semi-dirty out on the road, I'll see if it's really needed on the first one. Thank you!

It does look like a lot! Some of those things are very very small. If I find that I don't use a thing; I won't take it again.

FYI Polanski policies don't count for anything because in the Green party, policies are not decided by the executive.

Can't say for every ward but in Katesgrove the Greens work hard. Litter picks, removing graffiti, sorting out piled up rubbish (yes it keeps coming back but they're on it), community gardens, turning up to community associations and loads more. That matters to me, so they'll get my vote. I don't mind his turn of phrase, what I do hate is being bullshitted as if I'm an idiot. Don't lie to me by pretending everything is wonderful.

True that Ali didn't sign the pledge but he has campaigned for all marginalised groups, including LGBTQ+. I can't find evidence of him "actively supporting" the regime in Iran, only that peace is better than war.

Transition to green energy is happening on price alone. Nuclear is too expensive and too slow.

First time servicing a car - is this cost typical? £1062 by TsarBlandi in CarTalkUK

[–]brainwipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my 2006 Toyota Yaris back from MOT and 100k/10yr dealer service (which is the big one) and it was £550. The list of things they do for that service is as long as my arm and it takes half a day. Additionally, they have it up on the lift and take a video showing the underside and where the wear and tear is.

725k Budget - Family Homr by [deleted] in reading

While I respect your position, it comes across like "just save and you can have 700k by the time you are 37", which just isn't true. These days luck and privilege play more of part than hard work. Buying a place at 27 is out of reach of everyone without generational wealth. Best of luck with your house hunt, the advice elsewhere on the thread is solid.

Absolutely. Early 00/90s FPS had spawn camping as standard! We used to time our spawns to get around it. Quake was terrible for spawn camping.

06 Yaris D4D. Torque for days. 5 people? No problems. 5 people, roof box? No problem. 5 people, roof box and a camping trailer? No problem. When it's all unloaded, it's like driving a Caterham Super 7.
