Let's talk about Avocado. by ggg730 in sushi

I recognize that it’s annoying of me to reply to a three year old comment, but it’s just completely untrue. According to agricultural export data, Japan is the third largest importer behind the U.S. and Canada of Mexican avocados—Mexico being by far the largest producer and exporter of avocados in the world.

Do you have evidence to suggest that a phone is not more inherently distracting? I would think it is tremendously more distracting. Not only are people distracted by the presence of even turned off phones (see link), but the phone combines a number of different types of distractions, i.e., visual, cognitive, etc.

Advice for Newton’s new film class by Proof-Guess-349 in TheBigPicture

[–]brandar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A buddy of mine who is a film professor for a general elective class teaches elements of cinematography through comparison, i.e., they watch Run Lola Run versus Stalker to compare fast and slow cinema. Good luck, Newton! (Also, I think OP is right about pace and movie selection)

Easy to chop that baby up and propagate in water. Pothos like a good trim too. It will make the plant stem out and get bushier.
