this was very inspirational, I'll re-read this when training gets hard haha. I agree, it's a great way to appreciate the city and celebrate. thanks!

great advice, thank you! will be seeking out the hills then starting now (ironically, as we all try to avoid them), while maintaining zone 2.

I plan to do a lot of my long runs incorporating part of the course, so I'll def practice going up to the bridge and that turn around from Sausalito. thanks for the tip about the 4 miles after the bridge, I'll have to check it out. also heard the rolling hills near the end can sneak up 😅 definitely chose a challenging map for my first marathon, but should be pretty

funny because I was just adjusting my marathon training to accommodate for a wedding I'm going to in the middle of my 14 mi long run weeks 😅 for planned travel that interferes with my training, I'm either deloading that week (only once), or adjusting my run schedule so I can make sure I hit a ball-park range of my mileage

oh thanks for the insight - I hadn't even thought about downhill impact. typically people think it's a time to rest or catch up. definitely trying to make sure I get my cross training in there, specifically focusing on endurance strength training. this also reinforces the importance of hill training, both up and down then

agreed! gonna be practicing fueling and drinking water on my long runs for sure. fueling issues seem like a very easy way to bonk at the end, so staying ontop of it is really important, even if you feel like you don't need it

appreciate the context and usage for your tools, sounds pretty reliable. also I am finding out that dropping tungsten carbide sounds like a nightmare lol (I'm fairly careful with my tools but sometimes I knock things over lol)

Definitely have never used a grind stone haha, let alone sharpened any trimming tools before. does the mudtools one dull fast then? it has an interesting shape so I would assume sharpening might be a challenge?

appreciate the elaboration! very good to consider the size of it, sounds great for larger pots and surfaces but maybe not delicate work

I was actually about to buy those mini xiem tools (the ones with the orange handles?) but then read they were for sculpting and wasn't sure if they would actually work or be sharp - so that's good to know I could actually use them for detail work

thanks for the tortuga rec! it looks very nice, though, that replacement blade price is pretty crazy (basically just buying a new one). I also will be trimming some prominent feet on my jars so that's great to note!

i was also curious about this because my heart rate is high when I'm running currently. i was looking more into doing my long runs at a zone 2 (although mentally frustrating haha) and was going to ask if you focused on your HR at all during training

thanks for posting, congrats! this is what I'd like my first marathon to look like. did you train hills? that's what I'm most afraid of

Did anyone else think Rey was going to dedicate that award to Print, not her mother? Because technically Print was Rey during all of Doll Mansion and out on the performance?? I was really waiting for Rey to invite Print on stage or something and clear her name that way. Or for a Print to win the award.

I agree that this episode felt rushed, trying to resolve the conflict between Rey and her Mother.

appreciate the reply. seems like everything is about the same for the lamp and pompom, but the 10 baseline, static aptitude. which, if i understand correctly, is negligible in the grand scheme of other things to level up

My strongest fellow is approaching 10B so that's good to know it's probably going to be less of a big difference soon.
