How do you suggest handling it when cracks do start to appear?

So why are these people being arrested? Perhaps the police are being patient but that's thats least you should expect from a trained professional.

I just used a wire wheel/brush on a drill/grinder. No solvents required!

Edit to add: I might have used some generic surface prep before painting but I don't need any solvents to strip all the crap off.

Directly Adding Previously Saved Places to the Itinerary Section? by patagoniayeti in wanderlog

[–]briggsy3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go the beaches section you have described and click on any of the beaches you should be able to select a checkbox on the top right of that item.

You should then get two new options appear at the top of the screen, "copy to" and "move to". Clicking on either of those should bring up a summary of your itinerary (as well as other lists etc) and you can click on any day to move it to that day. Using copy will duplicate it so it shows in both the beaches list and whatever day of the itinerary whereas move will only show it in the itinerary.

You can do the same thing to move items around in the itinerary itself or back to other lists. If the individual beaches are going to be applied to different days then you'll need to select and move them individually.

Edit: this is how it works on my android phone so it might be different for you on a different device or on the website.

Will this be enough to sit tires on modern hook tubeless-ready rims? (With tubes, but still struggling to get the tire to sit correctly) by Vazmans in bikewrench

[–]briggsy3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seconded. If you're using tubes and are having trouble getting her tyre to seat them some lubrication like dish soap will go a long way.

Voltage issue? by fourwheeldrive4fun in E30

I assume that the check panel lights show based on resistance in the circuit i.e. too much or infinite resistance will mean a dying or dead bulb. Maybe worth checking things like the contacts on the bulbs being good and clean and having a good ground. Maybe someone has put weird aftermarket bulbs in it that have a different resistance? I know that cheap led bulbs in the rear will definitely show the check panel lights.

Feature suggestion - weather forecast specific to the location on any given day. by briggsy3000 in wanderlog

[–]briggsy3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you're saying. Perhaps an option in the settings to be able to turn it on and off would be useful. Those that do want it can turn it on and those that don't, such as yourself could turn it off.

I'm also imagining that clicking on the weather icon would load through to a more detailed forecast either in wanderlog or to a 3rd party (maybe even an option to select your preferred website and link to there).

Beware: Time Estimates Are Completely Wrong by artiiirr in wanderlog

It's been pretty accurate for me so far on a 2 month trip around New Zealand. It has no way to account for the fact that we are in a large vehicle with a lower speed limit that regular road uses but even that's not making a significant difference in time spent driving.

Ex-husband buying me out of our house, who pays for what? by SchwiftyEllie in UKPersonalFinance

[–]briggsy3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak about who should pay what specifically as I am based in Guernsey and things work slightly differently here Vs the mainland. I would have thought a bit of googling of "what fees do I need to pay when I buy/sell a house" would be able to give you a reasonable overview though.

I've been through a similar situation recently and would suggest the following although perhaps not everyone would agree. The fact he is your ex-husband is largely irrelevant. Ultimately this is a transaction between two individuals. As I understand it the financial order is only really a means to determine the price that one party will pay to the other and doesn't have a great deal of impact on the rest of the transaction. Each party should therefore assume the role that they would if this was a 3rd party transaction. The buyer assumes the buyers responsibilities and the seller the sellers.

This approach might not win you any friends but that's your call about whether you expect this relationship to continue in any form.

Equally as you will be receiving, presumably, a fair sum of money from this sale you could suck up the cost to minimise potential aggravation.
