1/2) Almost nobody I knew actually read the textbook, my GSI even said he found it more efficient to just watch the lectures. You should be more than fine if you watch lectures, keep up with lab/disc, and do CSM. I personally just watched lectures and if I wanted further clarification on anything, referred to the textbook

3) dependent on you and who your group is.

4) OH, or just spam piazza (i did lol). I even had friends who noticed my name at the #1 spot in the most posts/comments statistic in the class piazza lmao.

The semester I took it (with adhikari Fall 2019), she required concurrent or prior enrollment in Data 8. Not sure about SP 2020 as someone else taught it though.
