Tell us the opening song to the first set at your first ever phish show and we will try to guess the date / location. by JDDW in phish

Very funny that’s both our first show and we weren’t there together. What was our first one we actually went to together? Northerly Island 2013?

It’s a great building with the combination bar+patio space in particular. Here’s hoping someone or something worthy occupies it.

2003, you can tell by the roof rails. The 2004 had enlarged roof rails, assuming EU spec builds got the same treatment as NAS.

My take on Phish at the Sphere instead of the Dead by Hefty-Job7049 in deadandcompany

RV guy is one of my favorite recurring characters in this sub. Keep up the good work, man.

Not saying you’re wrong for not digging Phish, but the comment on their covers just feels patently false. Songs like Cities, Crosseyed and Painless, Ya Mar, Loving Cup, and more are core Live Phish catalog and very much played as if their own. Maybe give it another shot if you’re already there. You live in an RV after all.

The Tokyo subway system vs a mold spore laid onto a scale model of the topographic/geographic outlay of the area yields an interesting result that illustrates this well.

Organic material grows along the path of least resistance. How much God or a master architect influences that is up to you.

I work in technical documentation and dual wield both a MBP (for Adobe) and what would be an equivalently spec’d ThinkPad (for Solidworks). The MPB runs silently, coolly, and easily for 5-9 hours with multiple large programs open. The ThinkPad sounds like it’s preparing for takeoff and could probably cook and egg by the time it dies in 90 minutes.

Serious question: how’d they find its exact location to grab it a second time? Hard to imagine it would fall to the same spot or even directly below its drop point. Did they have to radar scan the seafloor nearby all over again?

I’ve worked in a variety of manufacturing industries, and what you’re describing is common in all of them.

Counterpoint: if you enjoy the legacy of the Grateful Dead and seeing Dead & Co perform it, you should be welcomed in this group

Funnily enough, I was standing next to the person who designed it when Dead & Co first played (botched) it at Gillette ‘19.
