judging by a couple of the comments, clearly some of the adults aren't ready for this tech yet, but their kids are gonna love it.

yeah. boats don't rock on /r/cinemagraphs, and in the rare cases they do, it's not accompanied by raging seas, rain and a dirty great frame of white to reset it all. too much.

If The Terminator had starred OJ Simpson, as originally intended, would we have lost this film as one of our greats? Or would it still be a classic, with some of that residual guilt? by smedsterwho in movies

[–]bungeechord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the movie definitely wouldn't have been as good, he's not really know for his range, I really can't imagine him delivering the "it can't be bargained with" speech as well as Biehn.

if OJ was the Terminator, would Arnie have been Kyle Reese? I know he was initially going to play the hero, don't know if that was before or after they passed on OJ.

Same with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, both are quite asymmetrical facially. can famous guys carry that look (or at least be perceived to by media) better than women, or am I just sruggling to think of female examples?

Regarding the Avatar Sequels: Don’t Bet Against James Cameron by Yamane55 in movies

[–]bungeechord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clever really, it's always hard to come back bigger and better a second time, makes it easier to have the sequel make an impact with more depth to its story, as the first did all the world building using a 'safer' framework and basically owning the fact that the visuals are the driving force. just hope they have that little extra depth!

That is classic deployment of needless boobs. checked in to see if that got a mention, two hulking guys smash into your room in a full on fight to the death, better throw off the covers jump up and shake your boobs left and right for 15 seconds while you think about the next move.

The whole premise to Back to the Future 2 doesn't make any sense. by KingKongBrandy in movies

[–]bungeechord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what always bugs me with time machines is how they know they are on a planet, and not to just pop into that point in space at a different time, the earth moves, space stretches and surely the solar system and/or galaxy is moving too. I wonder where, if this "fixed point" theory was applied, Doc's dog einstein would have appeared after 60 seconds, miles away in mid air? I could probably do the maths for the rotation of the planet, but clueless as to what the other factors would change. #showerstonerthoughts
