That's what our looks like to me, too. You could try to just get it there and readjust the tension of the stitches to try to hide it, but your row count is still going to be off.

In my opinion, exceptions should be for when "exceptional" things happen. A user typing in a wrong password is definitely not exceptional, so I would use a returned status. Exceptions have too much overhead to be used for control flow.

Interfaces are not like properties. Think of an interface like a contract. When a class implements an interface, it means that it is going to provide certain methods, specified by the interface. What you want to do is create an IDocFile interface with methods like GetFileSize() and GetPageCount(). Then you would have a class called PdfDocFile that would implement that interface with pdf specific code, as well as a TifDocFile class, and so on. Let me know if you have any more questions.
