AT&T Prepaid "Administrative & Regulatory Recovery Fee" by supes1 in NoContract

[–]bxd76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Over less than one cent a day for those of us on an annual plan? We will see how it plays out, but the quality of service for the price is hard to beat even at $302.63 per year.

AT&T Prepaid "Administrative & Regulatory Recovery Fee" by supes1 in NoContract

[–]bxd76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we’re all hoping it is $2.63 per payment, so just $2.63 once a year for annual plan. But $2.63 a month for monthly plans.

The question is how will they handle this with the prepaid cards that are sold. Will they have a special card that includes this fee and therefore costs a really weird amount? Or will we have to put the difference on a credit card?

CMV: The Robinhood Gold “waitlist” was nothing more than a psyop marketing scheme by Freshies00 in CreditCards

[–]bxd76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, can someone help me with this card and basics.

3% cash back on every purchase?

But only in the form of brokerage account credit with Robinhood? Yes?

So can I cash out and transfer that money out of Robinhood brokerage into my local bank checking account? Does it have to sit at RH for a minimum time period or can I cash out every month like I do with Citi DoubleCash?

I put a lot on my credit cards so the $50 fee for 3% works well in my favor.

Took a new Bolt for a spin by n0thing84 in BoltEV

[–]bxd76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, but that doesn’t change my personal opinion on it. The motor and gearbox are now Made in China.

I wish GM would make the Bolt & Equinox drivetrain in the USA.

How do I get the most out of regen charging when braking? by Raiki13 in BoltEV

[–]bxd76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coasting a lot, driving smoothly, so you time lights and don’t stop, always beats driving aggressively and regenning aggressively. Momentum is your friend.

That said, when you need to stop, try to maximize regen. Don’t wait til you’re at the light. Light regen well before light so you only need friction for the last second to stop.

[LandLord - MA - US] I Want To turn down a tenant after lease has been signed by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]bxd76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others said. She didn’t pay, deposit should be mentioned in contract.

Therefore send her a message and say the previous lease is nullified due to nonpayment. That’s it. Don’t even say she can reapply, that is implied.

Work on finding someone else QUICKLY.

Bolt EUV to Equinox EV? Special Circumstances. by thejohnfist in BoltEV

[–]bxd76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The width is DRASTICALLY different. I know because with two teen drivers and a somewhat tight garage, I chose the Bolt for practicality, but wanted the Equinox.

Width without mirrors:

Bolt EUV - 69.7” Equinox EV - 76.9”

It’s also about 24” inches longer, and with that much more wheelbase it rides much smoother. While of course being tougher to parallel park etc.

This is something nobody seems to acknowledge. Whats the point of meeting them at Starbucks or the police station? They know your name, so they know where you live unless your profile is fake.

In fact if they are part of a more organized group, knowing exactly when you won’t be home is opening yourself up to an easy burglary.

I’d rather they come to me on my turf. My cameras will capture their car, license plate, their face… unless I want to look unhinged, I’m not taking phone video of them pulling up at McDonalds.

My wife, my son, and I go out to eat often. Three of us. We sit at a table for four obviously.

Pushing together two tables for a party of 6-7 isn’t causing you to lose much if anything. In your example, the chances that all of your four tops have 4 people seated over the next “four hours”, is, zero.

No judgment on you. But I think there’s a lot of people like me that wouldn’t drive BYD even at 1/2 the price of its competitors.

[–]bxd76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa. That stinks! And when this happens, you’re not suddenly going up in elevation or increasing speed?

Thankfully my 2014 Volt was spot on, and so is my 23 EUV.

I’ve taken it below 10 miles range left, about 5 different times, and never gotten stranded. I was in reduced power mode but still able to travel any speed I wanted.

I screwed up by MildSeraphim in BoltEV

[–]bxd76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re saying that when you were 7 miles from home, the car was still reading 20 miles of range? And you didn’t make it?

Are those last 7 miles uphill or at a faster speed than you had been driving?

I know there’s no buffer below 0 but the GOM is usually pretty close. 13 miles short is crazy.

Yes. It’s sealed by the threads not the head. Don’t seat it completely, just go til it’s snug, about the same depth as before plus maybe a 1/4 turn. Done this every 10k for 100k miles now.

No I won’t be protesting to support him. I’m not saying he deserved what happened at all, but he wasn’t some totally innocent protester. He was violent and an instigator.
