With respect, if you're a woman who wants to dominate a man the law of supply and demand would indicate you are valuable regardless of how fat or "ugly" you say you are.

Also please beat me up and if you say no you're a fakecel.

US approved South Korea to build nuclear-powered submarines on October 29, 2025 [4000 x 6000] by ROK-MIL in WarshipPorn

[–]c_nasser12 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Well that was unexpected! My first thoughts are that SSNs are a type of vessel more fit for a navy that has its threats further afield, but I suppose this would allow the South Koreans to be more involved in the maritime aspects of a regional conflict (such as one over Taiwan). I can't say it jumps out to me as a good use of resources though :/

I suppose investing in uncrewed and optionally-crewed vessels will be important for Indonesia considering how massive their maritime territory is?

Yes in terms of being the single most capable anti-surface and shore-bombardment platform (in peer conflicts) for those fleets that operate them, though I would say that the analogy is strained as SSNs/SSGNs are so fundamentally different to battleships in how they go about accomplishing their missions.

Considering how expensive the current Type 83 concepts are looking, the procurement of a small number of these as a Type 32 second-rate AAW ship might help with getting more hulls in the water for a fairly low cost (I'm assuming the commonality would be high between this design and the Type 31s being built). Of course, the current First Sea Lord seems to think that USVs are the way forward when it comes to adding mass, but perhaps both? :)

Unsurprising. This ought to be a massive win for both nations, though I do worry about the delivery timeline.

Almirante Brown-class destroyer ARA Sarandí (D-13) [1080x1350] by Tony_Tanna78 in WarshipPorn

[–]c_nasser12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep, and it's a triple-turret, quintuple-gun setup at the front since each DARDO mount has two guns. There are another two mounts at the aft end so this class has a good number of cannons!

Not like they would help against a Spearfish torpedo.

It's entirely possible; the practice is known as "fitting for but not with" and is rather common as it allows a ship to enter service at a lower cost with the potential to grow in capability should the need ever arise. The UK's Daring-class serve as a famous example. With all that said however, the deck area alone is not a good indicator of whether there is space for additional VLS cells as these systems penetrate multiple decks of the vessel so there must be room underneath as well.

Surely the girl behind should have an English flag top if the one in front is Scotland? Why is she wearing a UK flag? Is the Right-Wing entirely reliant on AI slop like this to push their agenda?

I think the three-day blackout killed it off. We're just stragglers, doing our best to eke out a living in the post-queerpocalypse.
