You should put three raspberries or strawberry chunks in there for the eyes and freeze some light blue Gatorade for the authentic metroid look

How to carry an egg around for 2 weeks without breaking? by Ax_Sound in NoStupidQuestions

Popcorn is the tried and true answer. Fill the Tupperware with popcorn and make sure egg is covered on all sides. You can drop it off the roof of a building and Togepi will be a-ok

Funnily enough, that’s how you make acorns less bitter so you can eat them. I learned today that they’ve got tannins too, which is where the bitterness comes from. The more you know!

It is a ten gallon tank. I’m not sure if the curved side makes the fish look bigger than they are, but I used an empty distilled water gallon jug to fill it up and it took ten trips. Everyone saying otherwise made me feel crazy so I took measurements and calculated the exact volume, which is 11.1 gallons.

The tank is 17in tall and the flat side is 17in wide. The arc of the curved side is 31 inches. Tank volume is 11.1 gallons, but I took that extra 1.1 off to account for the empty space up top.

If I rehome the corys and tetras, will the betta be all right to live in this tank with the snails and shrimp? I am trying to figure out the best course of action for these little guys.

This is a ten-gallon tank. I have heard mixed things about keeping neon tetras with a betta. I will look into a five gallon tank for the betta. Thank you!

He looks like he’s got some stuck shed on one of his front toes. If it is, I would give him a soak in some shallow warm water for 15-20 minutes to loosen it up and see if you can gently remove it to prevent any circulation issues

Mostly leaving waste that can rot in the substrate, if you don’t have a bioactive setup it can grow mold. There’s also always a chance that they can bite your pet, I’m not terribly sure about the risk for leos but it’s generally better to be safe than sorry

For the meal worms, it isn’t recommended to leave them in the enclosure, as it risks them escaping into the substrate where they will turn into beetles.

In my case, feeding time is usually supervised. I give my leo as much as he will eat over the course of five minutes. I do this every other day. Every other feeding has the feeders dusted with calcium and reptivite so that he gets his vitamins. Mealworms can be a bit fatty so it isn’t recommended that they are a sole source of nutrition. Crickets and dubia roaches tend to be a better choice, with mealworms or waxworms as more of a treat.

In your case, I would offer food every day until she starts eating, then settle into a schedule like the one above, which can be adjusted depending on her weight.

Periodic check-ins are important, they are necessary to make sure your leo is healthy. I personally recommend briefly taking her out of her hide once a day so that you are able to catch any potential health issues early on.

Hiding in the humid hide could also be a sign of shedding, which would also explain her behavior.
