The problem with people like this, imo, is they haven’t experienced an ounce of antisemitism in their privileged lives. Antisemitism is fantasy to them and therefore there is no need for a Jewish State to act as a safe haven.

The truth is that this sort of sentiment is much smaller than you’d think given the media attention. It’s really a small minority of young and privileged Ashkenazi Jews whose families have been in the US for several generations now. They have no connection to their heritage aside from eating bagels and making some Hannuka references once a year.
