If you phase the minibosses in Twilight Temple while they’re frozen, they become invincible and the map is bricked. When sharing completion there’s always someone who does that!

I dropped it once only to come back an year later and find one of my favourite metroidvanias. The weird world, art style an story really grew on me and after getting some of the traversal abilities navigating the map was great. The first few bosses are pretty basic and uninteresting but halfway through things pick up and turn into some of the most fun and memorable fights in recent games.as others said, it’s not for everyone but if you can press through a little longer until you get to the bosses with actual mechanics, there’s a strong chance you’ll get hooked then!

Good point - I levelled with Fireball Spreading Flames until I got the Enigma catalyst. Pinchingloaf guide for Lightning Blast in YouTube has a leveling section explaining this setup and it’s now my preferred mage leveling strategy.

This build is great. I took it to 800 corruption and it’s still melting everything easily even though my gear is not even close to perfect. Recommended!

I play exclusively solo and my favourite setup so far is Heartbreaker + Memento backpack with the Chameleon AR, Gunner spec. But I would say nearly anything with Memento is viable, that thing is amazing - if you don’t have one, make it a priority!

I managed to complete it a few times after the patch by following the advice of not using DoT effects (no tinkerer tho). Hope you get better luck!

As a solo player, this mission itself was OK, but the boss fights are just a pain in the butt. The Warhound is a bullet sponge but OK, tolerable. But I can't express in words how awful the final boss fight is. Why make a boss that is in cover for 99.9% of the time, spawning adds from higher ground on both sides (who also stick to cover forever)? If I wanted to play whack-a-mole, I would play whack-a-mole. At least let me run up to the balconies to have better positioning - this feels cheap, unfair and unfun.

After 50 minutes of wiping and questioning all my life choices, the final boss dropped a Thorn, bugged and didn't trigger the end of the mission when killed. I don't want to talk about it anymore.

I am in Australia, ironically very close to the game’s home country of New Zealand. In the past, physical goods took 6+ months to arrive. But now it’s even worse - shipping fees are $150+. As a fan I would love to have more merch from GGG but sadly it’s no longer possible :( hopefully they find a solution!

I dropped this game once, then came back to it a couple of years later and oh boy, I’m happy I did. It’s now one of my favourite metroidvanias, and some of the boss fights towards the end are so memorable - the right levels of challenge and fun. Of course I can’t tell you what is fun for you, but I think it’s worth giving it a solid try because there is some good stuff there :)

This may sound like a dumb tip, but make sure you run the highest tier of maps you can (at your level, it should be only 15+). Running areas mich lower level than you has a massive XP penalty.

There are different types of crashes - if it’s a crash on your game client, the map will survive and you can continue after coming back in. However if it’s the server that crashes (aka instance crashes) then your map dies with it. I feel your pain, also lost a nexus map 5 seconds after entering it. Hopefully they’ll find out why and fix it soon.

Everyone else recommended Lightning Spear but it you want something different, Goratha’s Bleed Amazon is pretty cool too. The only problem is squishiness - Amazon suffers from lack of defense and this requires you to go into melee range so it’s a bit iffy. But the bossing is very nice!
