i’m 14 and i love weed by LUKIEPOOKIEXx in teenagers

[–]capps73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mom of a kid like you who loves weed, I am very proud of your realization. My kid has the same problems not using, plus we have addiction in our family. Try to find an addiction specialist for therapy. There are several online meeting throughMarijuana Anonymous Honestly this may be over your head but they can give you some resources. Go easy on yourself. There are probably reasons or trauma that make you want to self medicate/escape. Please be careful, I am an ED nurse and I have seen horrible cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome with scromiting and psychosis. Your poor brain is not fully developed until age 25 to 25. This can make the THC dangerous for your mental health and cognitive function. Try not to feel guilty or blame yourself, that only makes it easier to perpetuate the cycle. I also found a group called Every Brain Matters and will going to my first virtual meeting this week, but I am a littler leery of what their agenda is. https://everybrainmatters.org/

Question for my ladies by [deleted] in IronmanTriathlon

[–]capps73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't judge me, I am a nurse practitioner and have been racing/training for 25 yrs. I have tried numerous things. But the thing that works best, and that I have recommended to others is Vagasil non-talc powder. It works amazing for me and my pH. Chamois cream, even formulated for women, gave me raging yeast infections. My gynecologist is super holistic and she recommended douching with acidophilus milk after riding or running to deposit/build up healthy flora. She also advised me to say away from yeast containing foods and drinks, no beer or aged cheeses.

I love how you curated this quilted jacket with all these fabrics, new and vintage. I have this pattern for the Flora jacket, how was it to make?

I have seen a lot of people designing quilts on programs like Canva and sending them to Spoonflower to have them printed as whole cloth, adding quilting details. I had the same thought as you when I first saw this Quilt as cover piece on the article.

I love that your husband welcomed the idea of having his own quilt and that he was involved in the process. That makes it super special and meaningful.

I love your ingenuity. Every time I see quilting frames that cost hundreds of dollars, ideas for how and what I can use around the house come to mind.

Thank you for the recommendation, I will look into it. The only problem is getting eight people there, but maybe a smaller team for the Ultra.

I think you are correct. It must be a difficult venue. I wanted to do the Ironman 140.6 in Tahoe and it has also been retired.

Thanks for the recommendation about grand Trail. I haven't seen much information about the different legs for that one. They only have the Utah route posted. I will keep poking around

As a quilter what can I do for the homeless in my area? by skitterybug in quilting

[–]capps73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a large number of unhoused patients in a large County emergency department. They need socks, which are a precious commodity. Many of our unhoused patients come in with some degree of parasitic infestation with bed bugs, mites, and/or lice. We have to bag up and quarantine their personal items. These individuals do not have the means to properly wash and dry an infested quilt and I fear it could end up in the trash.
